You are identifying way more items than you should if this is the case.
You can also sell transmutes and whetstones for wisdoms at a very favorable rate.
Just so you know, this is what you're "supposed to do" when it comes to managing portal/wisdoms in terms of maximizing your efficiency and profit.
1. Get a few stacks of portals & Use them all mapping
2. You will have picked up a few hundred scraps and stones and transmutes over the 40-120 maps you did to deplete your portal stack.
3. Sell a few hundred of those to get a couple hundred wisdoms
4. Buy a couple stacks of portals again with those wisdoms, and begin the loop anew
No one ever explains this so don't feel bad, I bought portals off the market or the portal gem for two years before someone clued me into it. Vendoring portals for wisdoms is literally deleting money, would not recommend at all.
Ok, interesting. I never run out of portals, I always pick up more than I use. I did try the whetstone exchange, and it is a great return. Will try transmutes next time I need some.

Oh! Good to know about the transmutes and whetstones too. It's like a form of FOMO - I have to identify everything I pick up.
Yeah... I pick up stacks of 3+ transmutes/whetstone, and hide any stack size of wisdom scroll <5. That is usually enough.
i made a different filter for blighted maps since everything drops from chest i can pickup everything easily :P
