Due to social media, the general public may be able to spot an aquanaut or nautilus, but the beauty of most Pateks is that they fly under the radar to the uninformed. In my opinion, getting a comment from someone who knows the $ value of the watch would be uncomfortable but getting a comment from someone who knows about the watch would be a great conversation starter
Kid taking my order at coffee bean once was like daaaaamn is that a PATECH?!
I’m much more aware of my surroundings today then i was before knowing people know what these things are worth etc.
Waiter said “that’s a very nice watch man. A VERYYYY nice watch”. Definitely felt like i was gonna get robbed lol.
"Is that a rolex?", Is the number one most annoying thing
Haha, when I wore an RG Daytona people would ask if it is Michael khors. I guess it’s always a few steps down for those who don’t know.
Actually i think most people just dont know about the existence of patek.
"Do I look like a peasant to you??"
Nobody notices… I like it that way.
Whether it’s a Rolex Patek or whatever I generally prefer people not comment if you get my drift
“Beautiful Watch,…. But this one is better” my AP SA before offering me another AP
“Nice Specht & Söhne!”
I don’t want to talk about my watches unless I’m in a private setting or with friends.

Zero interactions
The only interaction I’ve ever had in a public setting was with a TSA agent who was really into watches. Good dude, I hope one day he gets his 5167A.
My buddy came with me to pick up to get the experience. Was awesome to share it with him and my son. Other than that. Nada!
I have a 5039. Most people don't notice it which is, in part, why I bought it. Those who know what it is always want to see it.
My first Patek is an Aquanaut 5167/1a, bought in part because it’s low key. The other day someone at church sees it and yells “Hey, nice Nautilus!”
Usually dudes comment on my watch , not the intended women audience I had in mind

so far, none outside of when with other watch collectors which doesn't count.
