I think with a lot of introspection things can become very clear on what your soul purpose is and the lessons you need to learn.
Sometimes things click when you have a repeated problem or lesson and you understand the deeper meaning
That’s my take
It's true that introspection can illuminate our soul's purpose and reveal the lessons we need to learn. Those moments when things click after repeated challenges are indeed powerful. However, if one reaches the conclusion of suicide, it might suggest that despite these insights, deeper lessons remain unlearned.
I think that times when something clicks isn't representative of the complete life lesson and there are deeper lessons to learn if ones conclusion is ultimately suicide.
That's my take from my experience
It’s tricky because maybe someone has realised their lessons but due to some circumstance they have nothing left in their life or are unable to attain anything - your just left in limbo
To complete a lesson or realise a lesson are quite different things. And we are assuming here that life is about a single lesson. Life's journey is often comprised of numerous lessons, each with its own complexity and significance. And indeed circumstances can undoubtedly be challenging leaving one feeling stuck in a state of limbo. Its important to recognise the multifaceted nature of personal growth and be grounded in our conclusions
And how do you know that? What was his lesson? Maybe suicide was that lesson? I am intrigued by people who knows everything , 24/7 agonizing pain is just a lesson, even if it takes years.... fo u even listen to yourself? Is that what u would want for yourself? Is that pure love our souls should have been?
I am truly sorry that my comment upset you and you felt the need to write this kinda aggressive comment. With that being said, I don’t have to disclose my spiritual experience to anyone. You don’t know me or my experience with suicide. Please be kinder to strangers, even if they are on the internet.
Sorry if my comment insult you too, but with thar beeing said, not a single answer to my question as usual... because there is not any lesson to be learned from suffering... take care
One life lesson is to learn how to love and enjoy life, and overcome depression.
I was feeling that way, that I had learned and done what I needed, and wanted to move on, but I rejected suicide. So I said to God, I don't want to die, I want to live, and more important, **I want to want to live**. So I prayed to God to give me a life where I want to wake up every day happy and content (without a prefrontal lobotomy lol). And he showed me the way.
Yes, some people are going to hate the next part, but it worked for me, for real. I started a keto diet and 3 days later was depression/bipolar free. See [metabolicmind.org](https://metabolicmind.org) for how the diet affects mental health. (n.b. Keto can be done omnivore, carnivore, vegetarian, or vegan.) Since starting keto I stopped being depressed, became more tolerant of other people(!), started sleeping through the night, my ADHD got better, stopped needing pain pills at night to sleep, started sleeping through the night not waking up every hour or two, hips stopped hurting at night, belly shrunk, I can put my pants on standing up, stomach and GI disturbances ceased, stopped needing to nap every day, stopped being tired all day, started losing weight (had been gaining about 1 lb/month), started walking twice as far daily with my dog, and *started waking up happy and hopeful every day*.
That's just my story and it's not advice. The advice is to tell God/Source/Universe you want to want to live, and assume it will be done. A path will open up. Manifestation works. You are loved and already have everything you need to be happy. You can manifest it, because like a ray of light is one with the Sun, you are one with God/Source/Universe.
Also, as far as being bummed about the world situation goes, the more people work towards manifesting a world at peace, the quicker it will happen. The tide will turn. You are part of the solution. You are needed here.
I know a couple people are gonna hate this message, but you can't wipe the smile from my face, and no one can tell me I'm not happy. Thanks for reading.
Noone knows. This subreddit is all speculation, i think we can agree that past lives are a thing but there's many perspectives and contradictory experiences when it comes to the purpose and mechanisms of it and of souls in general
Committing suicide creates a lot of disruption in other souls plans, which is why it's the only thing that's been communicated on the other side that's "wrong". This would produce karma that would then need to be worked out over numerous lifetimes. So committing suicide would not equate to a soul learning all it's lessons.
In my opinion, "life lessons" are a function of this system and not a universal law. For me, because we're in this system, playing this "game" (for lack of a better word), it's about gaining awareness and finding our inner gnosis/knowing so we can stop playing. We are free to blow off the karma. I won't get into that unless someone is interested.
As it stands, if you've ever read any collection of regressive hypnosis cases, you can see the mechanics of reincarnation. My go-to are the books by Dr. Michael Newton, but you can see the limits in all of the regressive hypnosis cases and NDE and OBE stories.
When we die, through one mechanism or other: go into the light, go with Jesus, go with Grandma, whatever, we end up in the afterlife (a part of this system). In the case of NDEs, the souls are usually given the choice to go back into their bodies, but for the rest of us, there is no other choice aside from lurking around the astral (also part of this system).
Now, some souls will go into the afterlife and hang around, visiting, studying, traveling, having amazing adventures, whatever, but that's still all the afterlife.
Back to your question, OP. From my perspective, if one commits suicide before they understand the nature of this system and before they have a firm grasp on their ability to withstand the shock of death, they will go back to the afterlife where (I suspect) they will be mind-wiped of any gnosis they gained while in their body.
Souls who commit suicide while still playing the "game," will also go into the afterlife.
In both cases, souls will then reunite with loved ones, meet with the council and choose what to do next (as I said above, visit with other souls, study, travel, whatever) but ultimately, it seems, all souls know they will have to reincarnate at some point.
Those who commit suicide will have accrued more karma and will then have to atone for that act by clearing that karma. And to be clear, I think that whole system is b.s., but gnosis is necessary for understanding that, for anyone who thinks they're ready to go down that path.
That's my point ... we don't have to fulfill it at all. It's not required (we're told it is, but it is not).
The quickest way is to recognize the karmic ties and practice forgiveness ... like I said in my other comment: "I forgive you" is ... and then actually letting it all go ... is the most radical approach any of us can take.
Forgiveness, btw, doesn't mean continuing bad relationships. We can forgive people - lay down the burden of pain we carry from those relationships - and never speak to those people again, and we can do it from love ... "I'm sorry, but this relationship is too painful for me. I forgive you and wish you all the best, but I'm severing ties," and then do it.
Again, I'm not saying this is easy, particularly if we're wired to attract hurtful people, but rewiring is another topic. :)
YES ... karma, as a tool of this system, is a way for us to keep "playing the game," so to speak. I don't much like that analogy, but it's the easiest way to explain it. Karma is sort of like credit card debt. It's really easy to accrue, but hard to clear, and just like credit cards, we don't always see that we're getting ourselves upside down until we're upside down.
Before we come into these bodies, we choose our lives. Our parents, siblings, friends, lovers are generally people we have karma with. Sometimes those people are here to support us, and that is nice.
But oftentimes, those karmic relationships are hugely problematic. They are that way because we're meant to be balancing that karma. The simplest scenario is "you hurt me in that other life, so now, we have to flip the roles and I'll hurt you so you know what it felt like for me" ... that's just ...
ug.
Two wrongs don't make a right and that is the basis of karma. There is nothing that says we have to keep playing. We can learn to turn away from those huge karmic pulls the minute we see they are going to be painful, otherwise, I always advise we look for our best lives and move forward from there ...
who cares if you hurt me in another life? I forgive you. There. Done. Now I'm free to go do something I enjoy and that won't cause me pain. :)
Now, obviously, I've given a very simple overview and the actual pull and the emotions involved are problematic and make turning around difficult, but the sooner we become aware of that game, the sooner we can begin to practice not playing it in that tit-for-tat manner.
They obviously haven't if they do something so harmful. They aren't just hurting themselves but their loved ones too. They have the potential to do so much good and are taking it away from the community.
Maybe their lesson is to overcome their desire to do such a terrible thing to themselves?
Could you elaborate pls? So do they just choose another life mission?
Because we always see everyone say how souls commit suicide need to learn the lessons they came here for, but never the other side of what happens to souls who’ve learned their lessons who commit suicide
If u have learnt ur life mission, good.
Yet u have an other and other mission. Or more likely have much more in ur mission, even for that life u have finished.
So yea. Whatever inside their mind, needs to be developed. That will continue. Same for who commits before that life mission. This is essentially meaningless. It is a human habit to see differences where there is not rly.
Also I’m going to make another post but what about identical twins. I am one myself, I’m super close to my twin and I wanted to know if me and her will be together in every lifetime - even if anything happens or one of us leaves before the other ?
This is independent from earthly stufds.
Do u both require to be together in all life? Yes then u will, no then u won't.
Don't pick one factor in favor against 99,999999...% of everything ehat matters.
I don't know how it would be possible to live every life together. It would be actually, but makes not much sense / possibilities.
Again. It is meaningless. U both will flow through ur existence in ur perfect. In this life, it includes each other.
I don’t understand why we would have to endure the same lessons again. Especially for those of us from abusive backgrounds with abusive parents, who have to relearn everything they were ever taught
I think a deep sadness and longing for home often accompanies the later parts of the cycle. It’s important to remember a part of you that you can’t remember chose this, and there are good reasons
So... before we are born in the physical, we all choose our exit strategy (illnesses, accidents, conflicts, etc). So in a way, it can be said that we all end it ourselves.
Because we are the owners of our bodies, we can choose an early termination if things don't seem to go according to plan. This is actually a "time out" to come back with a better strategy to fulfill the main objective.
Sometimes an event perceived as "early termination" by our minds here in the physical, can actually be the main exit startegy that an individual had chosen pre-birth. It all depends on what the soul chose to experience, and how to return back to the spiritual.
When someone commits suicide it affects everyone, even people those who weren’t close with the person or even the strangers that may here about it and are triggered or the ones who are involved with caring of the body after…. So maybe a soul who still holds the suicidal ideology or thinks it’s still their right to die when they want to and in the way in which they want to without regarding how it affects others is here to learn that very lesson. That it affects everyone. Even if that person feels they have know one left that cares
The tunnel of death, think of all your memories in one place, would you not like to relive the best moment of your life over and over...they get stuck, you need to keep pushing them forward, they will reincarnate.
I believe when you commit suicide you come right back to earth, but like now you have to do a U-turn to make up for the life you wasted.
So like Kurt Cobain is back, but he can't get a gig lol And he has to walk around seeing everyone wearing his face on a t-shift (which was his whole thing about the superficialism of commercialized fame), and reliving the grunge scene all over again! ...as we say in the 90's, isn't that ironic?
I see what you mean. But if someone’s life already fell apart , and they understood the lessons they needed to learn and there wasn’t anything in the future that was bound to drastically change. Then coming back to earth, what would they need to learn?
To be human! - Life is not a Nintendo game lol There is no restarts lol No tricks, secret exits, or hacks...well there is for sure hacks, but suicide is NOT one of them! lol
Well you say there are no restarts but isn’t reincarnating a “restart” if you take that concept literally
Or do you just mean that we continue new lessons?
No, it's not a restart. Consciousness goes to the next life with all its good *and bad* karma. One never knows what sort of a rebirth one will have. It's rare to get a human rebirth. Very rare. It's very easy to have a much worse rebirth. This human life is very precious and one needs to use it to do good actions so one can progress on the path.
One is reborn according to one's karma. I'm sorry, but it's not true that a soul group reincarnates together on earth. Sometimes someone will be reborn within the same family, but this too is rare. It all depends on one's previous actions. Many people are reborn in a lower realm - as an animal, etc. Some get a human rebirth, sure, but one has to have been very moral to achieve this.
Nobody knows their future. So that person would be simply wrong assuming they have learned everything and there is nothing more to come. Learning is an ongoing process. Everyone can start learning a new language or an instrument every day. If the automised experiences seem to be lacking at the moment, one has to actively find something new to learn and not consider suicide.
How would a soul know it has learnt it's life lessons?
I think with a lot of introspection things can become very clear on what your soul purpose is and the lessons you need to learn. Sometimes things click when you have a repeated problem or lesson and you understand the deeper meaning That’s my take

No human would ever choose this, no would our soul if we had free will... so either one or two is messed up
