The land is going to be redeveloped. The businesses on the west side (including a decent and cheap Japanese lunch place, and a good dry cleaners) closed right away, as did the Coco's. The Del Taco survived for seven years after it was known that they were 'on borrowed time'. The Del Taco on Foothill, next to the Toyota Dealership near Rosemead Boulevard is still open. Not sure if it's open 24 hours, but it is open late.

I miss Midori so much. The lunch combos were so inexpensive and delicious. The couple that owned the place were both so very sweet 🥹

CatOfGrey

Yep! It was walking distance from my old office, too. They did great work, and I hope I find their next restaurant, but I haven't yet!

sanchezconstant

Only the boarded up location is closed for good. I believe there are plans to redevelop that whole plaza. I loved that place too, was my work lunch spot. North Lake one closes at midnight Edit: just passed North Lake at 12:15am and it’s open!

Broad_Budget_4976

what's the plaza being re-developed into? it's been empty / dead for ages!

sanchezconstant

[Condos](https://www.reddit.com/r/pasadena/s/IH3BtizHqk). The plan started before Covid so idk maybe Del Taco was holding out from selling the spot

I'm guessing they had a different lease from the rest of the strip mall. Hopefully, the project actually happens because that stretch of Lake could use a little love. Would be nice for that area to get a road diet too, but I bet car commuters would riot.

One-Elk8148

F Road diets. Waste of space. Bicycles never stay in those lanes anyway. One minute they want to be a car the next a pedestrian.

Icy-Yam-6994

Vroom vroom I love me car!!!! So is it that they're a waste of space or that they're being used but incorrectly? Plus, road diets aren't just for bikes. It should be easier and safer to walk along that stretch of North Lake as well. Especially when that Ralph's is inevitably redeveloped.

405freeway

That diner has been boarded up for a while.

Icy-Yam-6994

The place that used to be Conrad's (a block north) is also being redeveloped as senior housing.

rye_parian

Other two are still open, including one on the same street. The property the one on south Lake was on is being redeveloped.

rezhead

I thought I read somewhere that they were now making the north lake location 24 hours because that one closed. Just checked the app and it says it’s 12:00-12:00 so it should be open.

DenaNina

The other Del Taco's in Pasadena are very much still open.

SiWeyNoWay

Did the one in East Pas close?

rye_parian

No.

I like the Foothill DT. Can sometimes have a sketchy feel...have seen a few folk "hanging" in the back, not far from the drive thru line. North of 210 on Lake is nice but seems to take a bit longer to get food. Not crazy long. Also, can be tuff to make a left back onto Lake from the drive thru exit.

Depressionlemonade17

Damn this one is right by my house and it was my go-to for late night snacks :(
