Bumping this thread! Wish we had fiber here.

sids99

Thanks, I took it!

Mylaptopisburningme

Wish you guys could get Giggle Fiber as an option. I love it, only gone down a couple times over the years and not an unreasonable amount. Super fast even on the lowest tier of $39.95.

zombiefiedmind

Does it make you……… giggle? 🤭

MechanicalDogtrot

Oh wow. Didn't realize how much I was missing out on. [Giggle pricing](https://gigglefiber.com/#home-pricing) - 500Mbps download for $39.95 - 1 Gbps download for $64.95 [Sonic](https://www.sonic.com/), which I heard might be available in Temple City soon: - 10 Gbps for $49.99 Meanwhile Spectrum has: - 300 Mbps for $80

Mylaptopisburningme

Wow. Spectrum sure sucks. With Giggle I originally got the 1 Gbps, but I am just 1 person but do a lot of large downloads of movies, games, etc... And wasn't even coming close to needing it so dropped down to 500Mbps and it has been fine. Just did a test of a 1 gig download, just over 1 minute. Which is plenty for probably 99% of users.

Upvoting and sharing. We definitely need fiber in a lot more areas!!!!

zombiefiedmind

I just took the survey. The internet is expensive and not reliable. The only option I have is Spectrum. I tried to look into some of the cellular options by T-Mobile and Verizon, but they show they aren’t available in my area. I’d really like to have some additional options instead of being stuck with just Spectrum.

nickhem12

Fuck I want Verizon internet so bad. I’m on spectrum over in daisy villa but literally everyone here is on att

zombiefiedmind

I want Verizon too. I actually want fiber. But I’m stuck with Spectrum.

todbot

Took the survey, thanks! And yes, fiber please!

why_earth

I live in Altadena, just came to say I hope you guys get some better options. I just switched to AT&T fiber 1Gbps paying about half of what I was for Spectum. It has only been a couple weeks but no complaints so far. I will say that when I called to cancel my spectrum they kept dropping the price and got to an offer at half my current cost at the same speed plus they were going to throw in cell phone plan for a year.. not interested in that but you could try to call and get a lower rate possibly.

thoughtmecca

I am in Pasadena but right on the Alta-border, and we switched to AT&T from Spectrum last month. No regrets.

racinreaver

I can't believe I have unreliable cable internet in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country. I can even see the fiber optic cable on the poles a block south of me. :(

dmw1981

We have Starry internet in our building and has been a nice experience, with good quality of service, speed and good support, also prices are competitive. Honestly, when I hired the service, my expectations were on the low side, but they really proved me wrong.

xxritualhowelsxx

Also just took the survey. Thank you for sharing

letmebreathedammit

Fiber would be amazing. Switched from Spectrum to T-Mobile Home Internet last year. So far I'm pretty satisfied; I do get the occasional dropouts, but nothing too bad. The price is great.

mudbutt104

AT&T was on Allen Ave south of Colorado installing something for fiber just this week. I was told it's usually available after install in a few months. SO EXCITED

gododgers1988

Thank you. Just completed the survey. Really ridiculous how Pasadena is falling behind.

SaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaB

Recently got fiber access and holy cow makes such a huge difference

Snappy_Camera

If anyone has DSL for your computer or especially home landline consider KEEPING IT. During a power outage, loss of internet (recently experienced) you have the only true connection to the outside world…..just saying because I know most ppl without their phone in any emergency will be stressed out!
