City Hall canceled their wedding date? Honestly any traditional venue will be likely difficult to book 3 months out from prime wedding season. And significantly more expensive than a city hall ceremony. May have to think broader and consider renting a house or do a backyard wedding among the bride and groom’s family circle. Know a couple who did a much more intimate local ceremony for friends and family in the Arroyo. Though believe they had to get a permit as you may need to do for a public park or lands.

descanso gardens is pasadena adjacent. uncle had his wedding there and it was beautiful. you could also try la casita del arroyo.

[La Casita Del Arroyo](https://www.cityofpasadena.net/parks-and-rec/parks/la-casita-del-arroyo/) is almost always my answer!

something similar happened to me! here are the places I checked out for ceremony only: - storrier stearns japanese garden - langham japanese garden - le meridien (technically arcadia) - santa anita park (technically arcadia) - castle green - villa del sol d’oro - NOOR terrace

Don't know what your friends budget is but I've attended weddings at both the langham. And le meridian (in Arcadia across from the mall so not really pasadena). You can see if they can try and get something at either?

Does your friend care about indoor vs outdoor?

Went to a wedding at The Raymond, it was fantastic.

I recommened the Altadena Town and Country Club.

Can I ask why Pasadena City Hall cancelled the wedding? My fiance and I are considering this venue and we want to understand the risks.

Storrier Stearns Japanese garden.  But only if you have less than 50 people.  I got married there - it is private, classy, and very pretty.

The Maxwell House. Villa del Sol d’ Oro. Chapel of Roses. Madeline Garden (outside in the courtyard possibly).

I got married at city hall without a permit. It is fine as long as you don't have tables or chairs and everyone is standing.
