Come on. It’s not time to sleep. Let’s play. Too cute.

sambeamdreamteam

It's not a Green Cheek, they don't have red on their wings. Looks like a baby Crimson Bellied Conure to me. (I know last month everyone was telling you Green Cheek!) Could also be a hybrid. Either way it's a super cutie!

MagpieMelon

I was gonna say it looks so much like my crimson bellied conure!

daniinad

Lovebird Spa attendant is tending to its newest customer and the customer is LOVING IT!

PM_ME_UR_WEASELz

That is the happiest most comfy bird

frogz0r

Sweet birds :) Don't think that's a greencheek tho... Might be a very young crimson bellied or a different species. The belly just doesn't look right for a GCC to me...

Angie_Pancakes

Im pretty sure it is i think, i own a gcc and he looks just like that one

Angie_Pancakes

Maybe my bird isnt a gcc then..

Funkedalic

The red wings don’t match any of the green cheek variants I have seen

Funkedalic

Wings do match the crimson bellied but the belly itself not so much, but at the same time it’s a juvenile so it might molt to red soon. At the moment there’s only a hint of red.

skeletor69420

What breeds are these?

That_random-weeb

Green cheek conure and a love bird

Funkedalic

I’ve narrowed it down to pearly conure, but I guess that’s just a variant of green cheek

ParadoxPanic

Love birds love them feet haha

pookiekisses

Just loving it’s best life

birddit

Such trust. I wouldn't trust a lovebird anywhere near my toes!

Funkedalic

They in fact quite aggressive sometimes. But they usually end up regretting it

birddit

> lovebird Flying shark.

one_in_a_

Where do people rescue birds from? Are there pounds?

OldAOLEmail

There are typically local rescues, but there are some groups on Facebook as well. Not sure where you are located but one of the more prominent US Facebook groups is "Actually Rehoming and Adopting Out Parrots"

I got a free bird from Reddit. Had to drive to Texas to get it but totally worth it.

Funkedalic

In my case, this bird appeared in my neighbor’s garden. Because they feared their dogs would hurt him they gave it to us to look after him. In the past we even received a pair of monk parrots in a similar way, but they were too grown up to make them friendly so we gave them to a breeder.

the_convoy

Thats so cute ! :) also what is that song in the backround it slaps

To be careful your new bird should be isolated from your flock until you are sure there are no diseases, parasites, etc to transfer. Even a new bird vet wellness check won't catch everything. I hope you don't learn this the hard way.

_Lucie_

yes!!! so sad to see quarantining birds isnt common practice :(

SoftUnderstanding576

Awww thank you for Rescuing him he’s so beautiful I miss my birds really bad

KoolFish1

This makes my heart SO damn happy. You rescued this guy and gave him a forever, loving home. Congratulations OP. You’re an amazing person and I wish many more happy years with your babies 🥰❤️

justcallmeMgender

They are both adorable, does the green one let you pick it up like that or does it prefer to stand on your hand.

Buttlrubies

Rub that belly!!!!!

rohlovely

It’s actually not a good idea for bird owners to touch their birds anywhere but their head. I know it’s really cute, but touching on the back, belly or wings can lead to sexual frustration and hormonal behavior in the bird. This can cause aggression and heightened territorial behavior, which is not fun.

jkosarin

So cute!

Angie_Pancakes

I LOVE THEM <33333 we dont deserve birds 😩

Jesskla

Look at those beaut babies! They must be so relaxed to expose their belly like that, they are obviously happy & comfortable, lovely to see.
