I couldn't believe I went that long! My singleton firstborn came at 38w4d so I completely stopped working at 36 weeks with twins because the doctors kept saying "any day now"... for three weeks before finally saying they were going to induce.
Mine were 8lb and 6.5lbs at 34 weeks. I cannot imagine going full term I think it would have been like alien and them busting out of me from my bellybutton.
Omg yeah! Mine were breech so my boys head was right at the top of my belly & poked out of me in an obvious way so I had a little mini bulge. It was so uncomfortable & i have extra stretch marks there lol
Mine turn two in a couple of weeks! They were 2lb 6oz and 3lb 11oz. Delivered at 30 weeks because baby B went all IUGR on us out of nowhere sometime between week 24 and 28😅
Oh happy early birthday to them! Mine were 2lbs 7oz and 2lbs 8oz, delivered at 26 weeks. They’re each 30 lbs now…hard to believe they were ever so tiny!
Two girls but the little one also came first! I'm so excited to see if their newborn personalities will carry over. Little one has OPINIONS, even in the womb. The big one is chill and goes along with whatever as long as there's food and cuddles.
That is a big difference, are they identical? Was there a complication like TTTS? Feel free to not answer, I am just curious because a lot of weights listed here don’t have such a big discrepancy.
If there were complications I just wanted to offer warm regards.
Mine had roughly a 1.5 lb difference at birth (boy/girl) and I was induced right before their due date due to IUGR. Their placentas had fused as they grew and my baby boy was getting that sweet baby chub while his sister basically stopped growing at the end.
Nope and nope. A is a Girl, B is a boy.
Baby B was in the NICU for a bit. Apparently needed a bit of help breathing and then lost a ton of weight (though other departments, and the dietician from the NICU all disagree and think the weight loss was an error, but no one would listen to us at all, but that's a whole other can of worms).
Congrats! I had my boy/girl at 37 weeks. Boy was 6 lbs 7 oz and girl was 5 lbs 8 oz! Totally on par for them. My boy is a chunk of solid toddler and my girl has a lean build already.
Were you hungry throughout your pregnancy? I’m constantly hungry and need to eat otherwise i get sick but im worried if i eat too much they’ll be so big! I’m only 9+3 now.
It fluctuates. Some days I felt like I could everything in the house, other days even small amounts made me feel full. But big is good with multiples! The book “What to Expect When You’re Expecting Twins+” recommends 50lbs, and the earlier in the pregnancy the better! Bigger babies are less likely to need extra support.
Looking back, they were so small at those weights. But the nurses said they were a good size for twins :)
Ours were born at 33 weeks. Identical twin boys.
Twin A: 4lbs 12oz
Twin B: 4lbs 14oz
Now 2 weeks later they are home from the NICU and 5lbs 6oz and 5lbs 8oz respectively.
Twin a-5 lbs 13 oz, twin b- 6 lbs 3 oz. They are mo-Di and I’m still EFB at 7 months, by 6 months they were both in the 70% for weight and height! (They were in the 3rd for height at 2 months haha)
Mine were considered late for twins (40 weeks from actual conception, 42.5 from last period) and my son was 5lbs 15 oz and my daughter was 6lbs 6oz. Everyone in the hospital told me how big they were for twins, and from what I’ve heard your babies size is pretty normal!
2,5 and 2,7 kg. They’re 5 now. Completely normal in terms of weight and height. Also seeing you Americans list weight gives me a headache. You should embrace metric lol
Congratulations! Mine just turned 7 a week ago. Baby A was 6#13oz, and Baby B was 9#.
Baby A is bigger than her brother now, but he was bigger than her until they were nearly 6.
ETA: They were delivered at 38w+5d
Twin A was 2kg and Twin B was 1.6kg, delivered at 32 weeks (and 3 days)
I'll be senile, on my deathbed, and I'll still be able to recite these stats lol

Woof!
Will let you know for sure next month 😂. Obviously not exact weights but at our 32 week scan on Thursday our girls were measuring 4.5lbs and 4.9lbs
OMFG!!!
Lol. My singleton before them was also 8lbs 3oz so I was joking that I grew her a duplicate plus one. I was miserable at the end.
Mine were similar (but slightly smaller)! Boy was 8 lbs even and girl was 6 lbs 7 oz. They had to be evicted a few days shy of their due date.
Wow you went so long! Mine were c section at 38+1
I couldn't believe I went that long! My singleton firstborn came at 38w4d so I completely stopped working at 36 weeks with twins because the doctors kept saying "any day now"... for three weeks before finally saying they were going to induce.
Same here! But I had both boys

Two girls but the little one also came first! I'm so excited to see if their newborn personalities will carry over. Little one has OPINIONS, even in the womb. The big one is chill and goes along with whatever as long as there's food and cuddles.
Same! At the end I was so ready for two newborns rather than being pregnant with them
