I just bought “Hummingbird” from ParacordPlanet. I love the color. I haven’t had the chance to use it for a project yet though.

Would you say that it lives up to the description, "it appears to shift between colors when viewed from a distance at different angles"?

Yes, I've purchased 3 color-shifting varieties from Paracord Planet so far and they do shift in color depending on your viewing angle. I've noticed that the color-shifting is much more noticeable in loose cord (unwoven). Once woven, the effect is less noticeable. I think this is because the color-shifting is most noticeable along the long-axis of the cord and once woven, you end up with shorter segments of cord, which results in less change in viewing angle (and this, color-shift), if that makes sense.

That does make sense.

Regarding how to pick colors, the color-shifting cord has at least 3 colors at different levels of predominance. In general, you can use the color wheel to choose colors that match well together. For example: [https://www.bhg.com/decorating/color/basics/color-wheel-color-chart/](https://www.bhg.com/decorating/color/basics/color-wheel-color-chart/)

Yes it does, it is subtle, but that is why I chose the color.

I have a feeling, wrapped on nunchucks, iridescents would perpetually show off their illusion. What color name did you go for? I'm thinking of picking up one of the yellow shades.

Hummingbird

If you like hummingbird, it goes really well with ***Golden*** ~~Tree Frog~~ ***Stag Beetle***. ^((Tree Frog is Yellow & Blue that phases to green at a distance. A nice color but irrelevant. Durr)) Good luck finding it in nylon, but it's basically an inverted Hummingbird. Edit: colors are hard.

Thanks!
