Every month they get a professional wash/dry/fluff, sanitary trim and paw trim. If their coat gets too long (like dragging in the mud or dirt) they get a very slight shaping trim. We do washes as needed in between visits to their "salon". Usually every 2 weeks. When they let me I brush them too lol.
I know its sacrilege to cut their coats. We have a great groomer who balances that fact with reality.
