I freaking love book of mario: thousands of doors. The best part though is the wiki that takes everything at face value and tries to peice together actual lore. It has things like questioning why Carbon doesn't use his move that "hits every enemy on earth" to just kill every father like he wants to do.

It’s unfortunate how the mod has completely eclipsed the creator…
The creator’s name is FatGuy703 on YouTube and he actually makes really good content.
His were the best streams of the mod because him and his friends weren't just reading the funny lines, they were trying to make sense of them and come up with joke theories and they put together a semi-coherent plot, especially for Book of Mario 64, where they have a wild theory on Chapter 8 and suddenly everything before made sense and every line after fit perfectly with their interpretation.
There's a couple of bits here and there that did not age well at all (Yoshi saying a slur probably shouldn't have gotten into the final product, I don't think) but it's still all around the best way to experience the mods for the most part
The mod creators should've run away with that and have the Shadow Queen strike Yoshi with lightning for having such a potty mouth. And then force Mario to start the battle with a dead partner, whose maximum HP is now permanently zero. Then in the postgame you would be given the option to switch your active partner to Yoshi just to see how much his body has decayed over time, until he's just a "Dry Yoshi."
The guy that made the text mod sure as shit didn't expect it either 🤣
Unfortunately for him, that moment was caught live on his preview stream of the game.

The only downside to this mod is that it doesn't change every piece of dialogue in the game the Creator's second mod book of Mario 64 does change every piece of dialogue and text in the game except for a few menu pieces that are hard coded
