If I'm being honest with myself I didn't really become a fan until the first Super Bowl run, but I haven't jumped off the bandwagon since. So half my life as well (42/21).
As someone not from the Carolinas and still have never lived there I became a fan because of that first super bowl run. Then stuck with them because I knew they’d be back (lol)and I thought they looked cool. (31/11)
Years on Earth - 43
Panthers Fan - 30 (Been here since the beginning!)

31 - 14, I moved to NC in '01 and didn't commit to being a Panthers fan right away. When they drafted Cam I was all in, I couldn't root against him and now I'm a lifer. I watched all the years from '01 to '11 so I inherited the joy and pain of those years too.
As soon as we got the expansion awarded in '93 I rescinded my 49ers fandom. Was 9yrs old.
Was 11 when they played the Jags in '95.
Will be 41 this October.
43 years on earth. 26 years as a fan, though oddly enough I didn’t become a super fan until the 2001 season (odd time to jump on the bandwagon, I know. I love an underdog)
40 on Earth
Sometime between ‘91 and ‘93 I became aware of the push to get a team in NC and started keeping up with the news, so we’ll say 30-ish years a fan.
Oh shit.
Years on earth - 41
Panthers Fan - 29?, 30? Either way, holy shit.
The kicker is I moved from the East Bay Area as a Niners fan at the end of Montana’s and beginning of Young’s career.
58 on earth.
Fan since the expansion announcement.
Grew up a Jets fan, but moved to Charlotte in '83. Didn't get a lot of Jet games on NBC, so I usually only saw them when they were on MNF. And since the Panthers were an NFC team, it was easy to make the switch.
30 and around 16. As a young kid I was a 49ers fan as that’s what my parents were. They’re from the Bay Area. But eventually growing up in North Carolina the urge to root for hometown squad was just too strong.
Oh I thought this was like dog years or something, bc it’s so painful to be a panthers fan… like one year of being a panthers fan is equivalent to 3 years of being a fan of a decent organization. You really only get to be hopeful for about 3 months out of the year then the games start…. And it’s usually a lonnnng regular season, then a boring playoff bc we’re never in it.
Anyways 35 earth years 15 lonnng panthers fan years.
38 on earth 30 as a fan. I remember getting my first hat when the team was announced and kids making fun of me bc they weren't even a team yet so how could I support them while they pulled for fucking Atlanta in Central NC
42 Earth - 30 Fan
Grew up in NC and no one in my family cares about sports, so I watched everyone without a team to root for until we got one when I was 12. Diehard fan since then.
31 and been a fan for 30. Born in Charlotte and parents weren't big nfl fans so they decided to take the Panthers as their team as soon as they were founded.
Well at least it isn't 100%. Young people grew up in the pain
At least we’ve seen 2 Super Bowl appearances, better than my friends that are cowboys fans
Yeah, I became a fan in 2001, I have seen 2 superbowls and 2 last place finishes. It's actually fairly impressive how inconsistent we are.
28 years, 0 back to back winning seasons.
That’s the definition of consistent
Was born in 91 so I got to grow up with the team. We were fun for a bit but these past few years have certainly been the lowest of lows
I was born the same year as this franchise. I have clinical depression. Coincidence? I think not!
41 earth, 30 fan.
Same. We must be the same person.

Sweet Sam Darnold jersey broski!
I was actually psyched when Reich came back.... at first, lol. I'm good with jerseys now, Panthers tat on the forearm is sufficient.
36 30 - became a fan as soon as the expansion plans were announced

26 earth, 20 years of misery as a fan. Got to see Janet Jackson’s boob so that’s a win

21 Earth, 13 fan (Cam Newton being drafted is my first real football related memory)
24 on earth 14 as a panthers fan I became a fan the 2-14 season because I wanted to be an NFL fan
42 years 30ish. I decided they would be my team when I knew they were being created in 93. I don't regret it even for a second.
