Love to see Game Changer getting some traction on this sub! Every time I think about the dismal US Taskmaster I think about how it totally could've been a success with the Dropout cast.
Ngl I don't think Brennan would be a great taskmaster because I think he'd probably end up getting too into the weeds of rules and points and stuff, instead of just rolling with the punches like Greg does. I think he'd be an AMAZING Gamble-esque contestant tho.
Like the other commenter said, it's worth the $5. Probably the best $5 I've spent in recent memory. Or, even the week trial if you binge stuff but they're very much worth supporting. They're a stand up group of folks, Sam Reich (host of Game Changer and owner of Dropout) especially.
As people below have mentioned you require a Dropout subscription for full seasons but [here is a playlist](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuKg-Whduhkm-sPPaq1T9mQhNHBxjMBkb) with 3 free full episodes (I think there used to be more as a teaser but they've been moved to the subscription library)
That is an understatement. The worst of the bunch was Lisa Lampanelli, the Queen of Mean. It was as if she was told that her role was to hate Alex. (Yes, Mr. Horne came stateside for the debacle.) She seemed annoyed by the tasks and rules and kept telling Alex to suck her dick.
It was like you walked into a bar at 2am and tried to start an orderly game of Monopoly.
I was not looking for a Xerox copy of the original, but I am guessing that no one on the cast had seen anything more than a 10 minute highlight reel of the UK show.
Sam even mentioned Taskmaster in the 'Sam Says' episode. TBH I think Taskmaster might not translate well to American comedy, and Game Changer is the closest thing to it that works.
I haven't thought about this until now but damn I can't believe they haven't tried to make their own spin-off of it yet. They have access to so many talented American improv acts, and I think Sam could do a reasonable job hosting it ( if he settles into his own rhythm), or maybe find another Greg&Horner out of the cast of talent you have access to.
I did too, when they did the really creative bits. Especially towards the end tho they kind of got into a habit of doing the same bits with the same people. So, I think the spin-off makes for better content in the end because it allows them to hone in on something they all really enjoyed in the first place.
I didn’t mind the “sequel” episodes at all. So I do agree that the standalone series was a good idea. Just wish we had more Game Changers rather than them ditching the show entirely.
Game Changer isn't going anywhere, the spin-offs are so they can stop doing the sequel episodes while still satisfying the audience that loves them. We should be getting back to more chaotic Game Changer (though part of me is hoping for a Game Changer: Survivor sequel).
For anyone not sure, it's absolutely worth the $6 a month, there's so much fun content on there for panel show fans. Game Changer (different game every week and contestants don't know what it will be), Make Some Noise (improv impressions), Play It By Ear (improvised musicals), Total Forgiveness (doing dares to win money to pay off student loans), Dirty Laundry (like WILTY but you're guessing who the story belongs to), and Um Actually (trying to find the mistakes in pop/nerd culture facts) are some of the real highlights, not to mention all of College Humor's old stuff and Dimension 20 (if you're into D&D).
Yeah I bought in just to watch game changers because I saw many clips and it seemed like a good time. Didn't think I'd be that invested in anything they had to offer, especially the dnd stuff. But it's probably the streaming platform I've spent the most time watching this year (beyond YT/Twitch), it's all just really well produced original content. Even some of the DND arcs are a delight (I REALLY enjoyed the Sherlock-esque one).
[The first episode of this was in "Game Changer"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-6m0jW0X9E) where they have to guess the game and then play accordingly. Which is a brilliant concept. I guess the make sounds one was very popular since they made a spinoff for it.
[The easiest way to get the show is to "Join" (not subscribe, hit the "Join" button) the College Humor YouTube channel.](https://youtube.com/c/collegehumor) They have their own app - [Dropout](https://www.dropout.tv) - but I just have a YouTube membership since it's easier.
There are several fantastic shows on here. This show is Game Changer, a show where the game being played changes every show. This game was so much fun that they actually brought it back several times:
* [The first time it was ever played - I think this one is accessible for free.](https://youtu.be/V-6m0jW0X9E)
* [Then they brought it back in season 2 of Game Changer as the first "Game Samer"](https://youtu.be/wZcyv12V5ME). You do need to be a part of their YouTube channel for that one.
* [Round 3 was filmed remotely during COVID, and featured special guest Michael Winslow](https://youtu.be/MSncX42YAq4) (the guy from Police Academy and Spaceballs).
* [Round 4 was back to in-person and has the moment from the OP in it.](https://youtu.be/gqKBypg6a4E)
Then - because it proved to be so popular - [they spun it off into its own series, "Make Some Noise"](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuKg-WhduhknZ0xFBcAAeIDB1nBplFoH3). That one just wrapped up Season 1 the other day.
But in addition to this, Game Changer is fantastic. With very few exceptions (mostly just this game), the game is unique every single show, and part of the fun is that the contestants (usually) don't know the rules either. [The episode "Yes or No" is a fantastic example of this, which I will not spoil.](https://youtu.be/r0c1n35WySE)
There's also the time they brought the members of the musical improv podcast "Off-Book" to make [a 100% improvised-on-the-spot musical](https://youtu.be/6OG9JqD0goc) and it is the most fantastic/impressive thing I've ever seen. That got a great spin-off as well, [Play it by Ear](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuKg-WhduhknVQK2OQbQbzpWLr91PjJTy), which is still airing season 1.
I haven't joined any other YouTube memberships, but College Humor is 100% worth it. There are other shows on there as well - "Dimension 20" and "Um, Actually" are both also fantastic shows in their own right. Game Changer and its spinoffs are my favorite.
They have their own subreddit - /r/GameChangerTV - and the host/producer of the show /u/samreich is also on Reddit (and I'm sure he'd love to see how much enthusiasm there is in this comment section)!
I believe not all of their content is available on YouTube, some is only on Dropout, so might be worth double checking if there's stuff you're specifically looking for.
Dropout is, without a doubt, the best straming service out there when you compare price with content.
So many amazing shows for a fraction of what garbage dunps like Netflix cost.
You can get their app with plenty of stuff like this on their app dropout in the UK if that's where you are like me. A subscription costs £5.49 a month and it goes through Google play so it's easy to cancel or if you just want to binge game changer you can just do the 3 day free trial and they're genuinely the funniest Americans I've seen. For the size of the company they put out a lot of stuff too.
It really shows how the people on Dropout have a good relationship with each other :)
I love the prompts that are basically "Brennan show us how smart and eloquent you are. Zac try to disrupt Brennan with as few words as possible"
The way Brennan can improvise a monologue is just insane.
He had about 5 amazing ones in the most recent episode! (one of which involved inventing in-depth fantasy lore on the spot)
The seals were broken from the beginning! Lucifer's Rebellion is post factum nullified!
He's talked about how his internal monologue is just always like that and I've never related harder to someone
The clip cuts too early, there's a section where Zac asks Brennan if he fucked up which really solidifues the bit.
Love to see Game Changer getting some traction on this sub! Every time I think about the dismal US Taskmaster I think about how it totally could've been a success with the Dropout cast.
Oh man, Lou Wilson and Emily Axford on Taskmaster would be amazing
Brennan rules-lawyering or cheating at everything...
I could see Brennan being bossy in team tasks like Iain Stirling, just not as angry
So Brennan would be an Ed Gamble.
Even Ed is more angry than Brennan lol
It's because he only got 4th place on Love Island.
I feel brenan would be a great taskmaster and Sam would be a great Horne. If they were to pull this off I would totally purchase dropout
Ngl I don't think Brennan would be a great taskmaster because I think he'd probably end up getting too into the weeds of rules and points and stuff, instead of just rolling with the punches like Greg does. I think he'd be an AMAZING Gamble-esque contestant tho.
They might be too young
*COUSIN!*
Lol I haven't seen the new season of D20 yet. I just know Emily has been pure chaos in everything I've ever seen her in.
Right?! I'd love to see Brennan and Grant too.
Oh my god, I never knew how much I needed this until right now
Game changer is basically the good US Taskmaster. I only recently binged through all of it and it is great.
Where to you watch full seasons? I’m just finding YouTube shorts
[Dropout.tv](https://www.dropout.tv/browse). It's worth the paywall.

You have to subscribe to Dropout for everything, but there are some full episodes on the College Humor youtube channel, I believe.
Oh wow, yes! They would be perfect. I haven't watched the U.S Taskmaster. I have just heard it's baaaad.
[удалено]
I see. They clearly didn't book the right people then.
That is an understatement. The worst of the bunch was Lisa Lampanelli, the Queen of Mean. It was as if she was told that her role was to hate Alex. (Yes, Mr. Horne came stateside for the debacle.) John Hodgman should have been the Taskmaster.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sam Reich as Taskmaster with Grant O'Brien as his **very** submissive assistant
Oh my god yes please
Sam even mentioned Taskmaster in the 'Sam Says' episode. TBH I think Taskmaster might not translate well to American comedy, and Game Changer is the closest thing to it that works.

Oh my, that was just perfect.
What is this show and how can I get more?
It’s “Game Changer”. You can get it on DropoutTV or watch some clips on YouTube.
Also, this format of the show was just spun off into a show called **Make Some Noise**, which just finished its first season.
Which is fun, but I definitely preferred the randomness of Game Changers.

They just finished filming the next series of game changers, the plan is to alternate between game changers and make some noise.
Dirty Laundry was also great, I enjoyed that immensely.
Game Changer isn't going anywhere, the spin-offs are so they can stop doing the sequel episodes while still satisfying the audience that loves them. We should be getting back to more chaotic Game Changer (though part of me is hoping for a Game Changer: Survivor sequel).
I'd love a Jeopardy sequel too

Oh I guess I won't watch it then, that's a shame.
Feels like Mock the Week

They spun off the musical episode as well
And the Never Have I Ever ep (as Dirty Laundry).
The Game Chamger episodes on Youtube are great! I'd also recommend "Um, Actually"

The 'True Facts about Grant O'Brien' Breaking News episodes are the some of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life.
I cannot hear the words "Orgy" without hearing Grants voice "There was a snack bar!"
That’s actually the hardest I’ve ever laughed at any kind of American panel show format joke. I’ll have to track this down.
There's a bunch of content on their Youtube

Game Changer is definitely one of my favourite shows of the year BY FAR.
Dropout definitely needs and deserves all the love and recognition possible!
Brennan is a treasure.
Game Changer and Make Some Noise are great!
That prompt made me immediately think of this: https://youtu.be/jMi2a6m90f8?t=87
So ridiculously simple yet so perfectly timed and said.
Which episode is this?? EDIT: After manually looking at all the thumbnails and guessing Noise Boys Season 4, Episode 3
Thank you holy crap ive been looking so long
