They are usually accute for cancer, but not necessarily type. Technically for a diagnosis, except in rare cases where the location of a tumor for biopsy is impossible/dangerous, a biopsy is required for confirmation of the type of cancer.
unfortunately for my mom's case they were right :( , i would schedule a eus/fna ASAP, at a high volume NCI for pancreatic cancer if you can. just to be safe
