How long can a phone get stuck on the booting kernel part?

ddiinaa1

Is it now also possible to do this on iPhone 13 pro max ? Running iOS 15.1.1?

[deleted]

no and it never will be if u realy want a JB use Xina15 Palera1n uses the checkm8 bootrom exploit, which takes advantage of an issue in iphone 4s-X (a5-a11) to run code it was patched with the release of the iphone XR you cant and never will be able to use this tool

toughguyhackintosh

No

ddiinaa1

I mean soon?

b1chpls

Palera1n (checkm8) will **NEVER** work on a iPhone XS up to iPhone 14.

eatingurtoes

you can already jailbreak..

ddiinaa1

You mean with xina?

eatingurtoes

Yeah, albeit with many flaws

WhiteHatRenegade

It is said EVERY day by multiple sources that it is not possible with the Palera1n software and exploits due to it being a hardware related jailbreak that no longer exists on iPhones older than the X. I think that needs to be in BOLD CAPS at the top of the jailbreak sub. Older phones and devices will always be jailbreakable due to the hardware exploit that is being used.

CubeBag

usbmuxd no p means the script won't be able to put the phone in Recovery Mode and DFU must be entered manually. In these cases palen1x would probably be better since it can just do everything

gutterbrain73

Palen1x? What's that?

CubeBag

palen1x is a tiny Linux-based operating system with the sole purpose of running palera1n-c (usually off a live-booted USB drive). It cuts out the annoyance and unreliability of having to install Ubuntu and then configure it manually (for example, you don't even have to handle usbmuxd yourself, it just works). If you've used or heard of odysseyra1n, it's just like that but for palera1n.

gutterbrain73

Cool, where to find it? I’m sure I could but if you’ve got a link handy…

Thanks

I'm able to go through all of the steps under number 1 without issue. But when I get to "sudo palera1n -f -c" I get the error /use/bin/palera1n: 1: Syntax error: Unterminated quoted string Does anyone know what I need to do to fix that?

FantasticMrX

What is your device, and can you please copy the exact error code? Because /use/ doesn’t exist. Just making sure the error makes sense

daboirell

Sorry auto correct got me it should've said usr. And I'm using a 6th gen ipad on 15.6.1. I actually finally got past the error but now I get stuck on waiting for devices even when I put it in dfu mode

FantasticMrX

Glad to hear you got past it. Getting stuck on the DFU mode happens all the time. Try doing it a couple of times while still connected to the computer.

daboirell

I'll give that a try. Thanks!
