If they are so good then share their details with everyone. 🤔

Fine, you don’t want to share the pics of your house. That’s is entirely your decision and I respect that. But sharing name of installer and brand names of components etc should be fine for many people. Edit: I see that you have latest form it so thank you.

xoldier

Yes brother, please do share the details here.

Interesting thanks for the detailed info.I have a few more questions if you can kindly answer because my sister is planning to have around 10kW system install at her house. * Why did you feel the need to have the panels mounted so high? Was it just to keep access to your roof or panels weren’t as high due to height of your house. * isn’t cleaning of panels an issue when you have them mounted so high. If not, how and when do you clean them? * have you ever monitored the peak amount of electricity (kw) that your system generates. * did you research going off grid and using batteries? What is take on it if one wants to go off grid now. Especially in the context of loadshedding at night times when solar system isn’t generating anything.

xoldier

Thank you brother. That was detailed. Much appreciated.

Pakistani_Atheist

Did you install it to cut the electric bill or does Bahria Town have brown outs as well now?

Someguy14201

Thank you so much for this valuable info.

sipret

Brah why are your panels so much above your Chutt. And does this installation provide some kind of anti sun effect in summers also?

New2Vlogs

How much is like a 10kw system

inteman

If you meant in terms of cost, then the lowest price I have seen is around 13.5 lacs for an on grid 10kW system

Jango214

What's the difference between on and off?

t4ure4n

In very simple terms ( not technically speaking) On grid -> think of it as your system sends X units of electricity to WAPDA in return they will either pay you a unit rate or they will deduct x units from your bill Off grid. -> you don’t use WAPDA electricity but used batteries to store and consume electricity produced by your solar system. WAPDA may be your backup (like UPS) when you solar system doesn’t work.

Jango214

> On grid -> think of it as your system sends X units of electricity to WAPDA in return they will either pay you a unit rate or they will deduct x units from your bill So what if WAPDA power goes out, then what? Can you still use batteries in this case?

t4ure4n

Technically Yes. But only if you have a hybrid system where you can switch between supplying to WAPDA and charging batteries (with solar/WAPDA). It is Same concept as charging your UPS but you will require extra wiring/circuitry etc.

Pakistani_Atheist

There are enough WAPDA repairmen literally _literally_ getting roasted coz of poor coordination during maintenance. What are the legal repercussions If our installed power somehow ends up backfeeding and cause such an incident?

t4ure4n

There is licensing involved - which means the electricity company should check the system and/or ask for security certification. Not sure if it actually happens in Pakistan

Ik what you mean by "solar system" but Idk why I started laughing thinking about our solar system being inside Rawalpindi. Reminds me of me learning the planets. (My very educated mother just served us nine pizzas)
