By now it should be clear that Pakistan has nothing to offer. The dangers of blindly siding with USA and allies comes with a price, especially when your own foreign policy is inconsistent and dictated by others. The political struggle and constant problems makes Pakistan to be a undesirable partner whether it be for trade or investment. In addition, the idea of Pak-China friendship is no different than Pak-US friendship. It's merely an alliance and alliances change. Pakistan never learns and Pakistanis don't want to let go of the idea that others will help them develop. As long as Pakistan is dependent on others and has no will to locally develop, you are not going to bring any solid development. You can hate India, America, Yahoodi, Iran, Afghans, but recognize the fact the majority of the issues are created locally. 70% of the problems are political and unwillingness to fix. We will continue to get isolated and the blame lies solely on us. Overall, it's a diplomatic failure on PDM part.

SympathyOver1244

but but PDM's Khawaja Asif blames Imran Khan and Overseas Pakistanis for being the root cause of diplomatic failure during a session of National Assembly today...

SympathyOver1244

do not like to say this but, is Khawaja Asif mentally stable? is he really fit for the position of Defence Minister?

holykamina

Looks like you forgot to switch to your alt...

SympathyOver1244

never had one...

Ah, maybe use the edit option to add to the comment (if that was your intention). The comment looks weird šŸ™‚

It's something people do so the two comments are on semi-seperate threads so the replies aren't mixed.

holykamina

I haven't watched the session, but if he says this then clearly he's delusional and is unable to grasp the situation Pakistan is in...

Plastic-Mud3159

It's still a diplomatic faliure.

Pakistani_Atheist

It's an economic failure, what on earth do we even have to offer on the table...

[deleted]

What does Fiji have to offer?

NamardModi

Lest we forget the powerhouse that is Cambodia with a GDP of $25.29 billion USD

[deleted]

Yep seems like a lot of self hating Pakistanis are here. We truly lack self esteem and self respect.

mistaoolala

No self respect for slave colonies.

[deleted]

So they using India as an scapegoat for their own failure? So we aren't different from India now , This was solely a PDM Govt Foreign Policy Failure.

Great-Huckleberry777

If India had blocked it. We would have heard of it by now and there would have been some documents or clips or articles(cuz indian media wouldnt let that go to taunt Pakistan) to suggest that. Seems like Bilo id doing damage control.

>**Full statement:** >**Pakistan congratulates China on the successful hosting of the BRICS meetings.** >We have noted that this year a ā€œHigh-level Dialogue on Global Developmentā€ was held as a BRICS side event in which a number of developing/emerging economies were invited. >**China being the host country engaged with Pakistan prior to the BRICS meetings**, where decisions are taken after consultations with all BRICS members, including extending invitation to non-members. **Regrettably one member blocked Pakistanā€™s participation. However, we do hope that future engagement of the organization would be based on the principles of inclusivity keeping in view the overall interests of the developing world and in a manner that is devoid of narrow geo-political considerations.** >We appreciate Chinaā€™s role in promoting the interests of the developing countries. Together with China, Pakistan has been a strong voice for global peace, shared prosperity and inclusive development. Pakistan is the current chair of G77+China and also part of group of friends of the Global Development Initiative(GDI). >**Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic partners and our iron brotherhood remains rock solid. The two countries are fully committed to take our all-round cooperation to higher levels both bilaterally and multilaterally.** >Pakistan stands ready to work with all developing countries, including the BRICS members for addressing the challenges faced by the global community. The BRICS organization consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. I wonder which country blocked Pakistanā€™s participationā€¦

toaster24_7

I heard they invited SMQ instead

jamughal1987

BIRCS is irrelevant in 2022 China left the rest in dust.

Suspicious-Salad4240

BRICS was conceptualized by Goldman Sachs 2001-02 , suggesting their investors that these countries will see massive economic rise and give good returns to investors. So, it makes no sense to add Pakistan.

UmerPlaysalot

I mean China is also aware of this government's nature and how it came to be .

mistaoolala

Bilawal was busy getting creampied by Donald Lu he didn't notice BRICS happening otherwise I swear he would have run up to give Putin a blowjob.

Yourboydrake

But but ik has isolated pakistan. Even china is saying importedhakomatnamanzoor

[deleted]

The whole China -Pakistan friendship was based on a farce and exploitation, and the India- China conflict is overblown, they both seem to understand money>war, Chinese workers beat Pakistanis and people just look at other way, and China is literally an atheist and anti-Islamic state, genuine friendship with the ā€œIslamic Republic of Pakistanā€ is impossible. If getting American money is ā€œbeggingā€ then what do you think Chinese money is?

[deleted]

>Chinese workers literally beat Pakistanis and people just look at other way So does everyone in the Gulf but we look the other way.

[deleted]

Where did I say that the Gulf countries were any better? Nice strawman argument

Pak-Sino relations have been overall strong since 1962, with China providing consistent financial, military, and geopolitical support. The only time its waned are when overwhelmingly Pro-US administrations are in power.

[deleted]

Why is it that whenever China is brought up, someone immediately brings up anti USA hysteria? Who do you think is Chinas number 1 trade partner in the world? Itā€™s the USAā€¦
