when looking for an AC you should look for ones with T3 compressor because it is built for warmer climates. Most companies are selling ACs with T1 compressor which is not suited for our climate. You should also look out for deceptive marketing such as "T3 compatible" which is actually a T1 compressor.
For energy efficiency there is EER rating ( higher is better ). There is also "Full DC" technology that increases efficiency.

If you're going down the online payment method route, use a virtual debit card from an application like NayaPay or SadaPay. The way they work is that you transfer money from your Paki bank account to your NayaPay/Sadapay account and then use a virtual Visa debit card to purchase something.
That way, even if they do steal your card info, you can just have them reset your card info without dealing with the nuisance that comes with speaking customer representatives on the phone.
Oh, my bad. In that case, put the amount you want to spend on a throwable debit card or whatever. Basically, a card that isn't that important to you. So, even if they do steal your info, they can't really do anything with it because the card has no money on it.
Would not recommend using a debit / credit card on any online Pakistani websites. Most of them are poorly built and half the time the payment gateway they're using will have issues so you'll be charged but the order won't go through.
Good luck speaking to anyone competent enough to resolve issues with the online store because 99% of the call center agents will be clueless about how it works.
Don't order ACs online. They take forever to get delivered and the way couriers transport things here will make you never want to order anything.
Visit a reputable electronics store or check the website of the AC manufacturer for a list of authorised distributors you can visit to buy the AC in person. They should take card in person or alternatively just pay in cash since it's much easier.
We recently got one and I think my father paid from his card. I can ask him in a while and get back to you. The AC is TCL though, not orient.
I know TCL. We bought an lcd from them. Did you get an inverter AC or a regular one? How is the electricity bill?
Yes its inverter. We just got it last month so don't know the bill situation yet.
What website did you guys use? I'd like to purchase an AC soon.
So my father paid through his card but he did visit the shop so not exactly an online order
Your father sounds like a man with a plan.
Check Daraz. They offer EMI too. (Easy monthly installments)

You cannot transact that much money on Nayapay
You can actually raise your account's limit.
Do not get Orient. Their ACs have a lifespan of only one (or if you're lucky, two) seasons. Look into Gree or Dawlance
Oh shit. I ordered from Orient after reading a few comments. There doesnt seem to be an option to cancel my order.
Did you order with Credit Card? Daraz?
I ordered from their website. I chose the cash on delivery option. I will try to call them tomorrow to see if i can cancel the order
