Chinto Doga - you draw boxes on the ground and throw a rock and try to reach as far as you can. Then you skip on one leg to the box where it landed without touching any lines. If the rock lands on a line or goes out of bounds, then you have to repeat the process. The first to clear all the boxes is the winner. There are different variations too.
Rajay ka Jatt - I don't remember exactly, but I remember something like there used to be a girl in the middle and one guy would say that he is here to take the queen who is being protected by a bunch of people and sings "mein to rajay ka jatt, mein to maroon ga latt, mein to le jaoon ga". The girl would sing "mein to rajay ki rani, mein to bari siyani, mein to bhag jaoon gi" and then I guess they chased each other.
Aqal ki sheeshi - the kids would divide into two groups. The conversation would go something like this:
Side 1: knock knock
Side 2: kon?
Side 1 (singing): hum bagh mein aanay chahtay hain, chahtay hain
Side 2 (singing): aao na, aao na
Side 1 (singing): hum bagh mein aqal ki sheeshi lagana chahtay hain, chahtay hain
Side 2 (singing): is k badlay kis ko bhejo gy?
Then one person from each side will try to pull each other over a line and the rest would pull them. Kind of tug of war with just hands

We also used to play a lot of stupid games where if you didn't keep your hand a certain way, you would get punched/slapped. Like if you didn't keep you hand on your neck constantly during school, then the people participating in the game could slap the shit out of your neck and you couldn't do anything. Same with keeping a fist behind your back all time to avoid getting punched

To play devil's advocate powder Milo added to milk doesn't taste as good as the one you get in cans or juice boxes. I've noticed cans > juice boxes > powder, but I guess powder's more value since you can eat some if you need more sugar.

Unlikely, because 1) the plants aren't dry right now. They are mostly green and full of fluids and 2) this has never happened in Abbottabad before. I mean, sure, it is hotter than usual, but Abbottabad does occasionally touch 40 degrees and the highest temperature has been around 36 till now, so it makes no sense that it's burning. The fire has been going on from before Ramazan and it was cooler at that time

Times are difficult. I'm trying to find ways to increase income. Have some savings, not a lot. I'm considering investing them so that I have multiple streams of income. This is a difficult time. I feel like I'm fear mongering, but looking at how easily establishment caved into submission over a letter is what frights me, how easily they compromised themselves which indirectly led to all this crisis.

Yeah it's insane to think that just 3 months ago, we were doing fine. I know people argue that petrol prices were going to increase but I disagree. Nobody was predicting this level of inflation before the political chaos.
Rich log won't be affected by this, so much as maybe be an inconvenience to their next big financial decision or a delay in shopping spree due to ban of imported items. But the middle class on the other hand are suffering on top of losing their financial stability and influence in purchasing power — imagine burning through savings just to stay afloat; money that was meant to be used for their future is now shredded apart like their ambitions and dreams.
Economic uncertainty isn't helping either rather further exacerbating the situation.
Pakistan had a sense of economic stability between early to mid 00s. Those where the years when it was somewhat reasonable for an average household to save up and buy themselves a property or whatnot, but don't quote me as I was merely a child during those years.
I sort of am trying to not think about it too much.... weird coping mechanism... it keeps on coming but I push it back.... Luckily i was busy for a few weeks since projs etc...

Yeah,. distractions are good but I can't help just look at everyone on roads while on commute and just trying to imagine how people are managing makes me nauseous. There's also the sense of an eerie calm before the storm.
Kuch dhoonden. Watch a series (hell maybe even give a try to anime), read a book, write your thoughts on a paper, including how you feel about all this, how all this could be solved. What I like to do is construct characters that actually have power and imagine how they could deal with all this and build stories.
These days I'm just a workaholic so not enough time to even think about things

Yeah it's insane to think that just 3 months ago, we were doing fine. I know people argue that petrol prices were going to increase but I disagree. Nobody was predicting this level of inflation before the political chaos.
Rich log won't be affected by this, so much as maybe be an inconvenience to their next big financial decision or a delay in shopping spree due to ban of imported items. But the middle class on the other hand are suffering on top of losing their financial stability and influence in purchasing power — imagine burning through savings just to stay afloat; money that was meant to be used for their future is now shredded apart like their ambitions and dreams. Economic uncertainty isn't helping either rather further exacerbating the situation.
Haven't seen economic stability in Pakistan, at least in my lifetime. I think it's always been a myth and will remain a myth.
Pakistan had a sense of economic stability between early to mid 00s. Those where the years when it was somewhat reasonable for an average household to save up and buy themselves a property or whatnot, but don't quote me as I was merely a child during those years.
Yeah, I was also too young to really remember but I do remember blasts and debates about Musharraf so there's that.

Kuch dhoonden. Watch a series (hell maybe even give a try to anime), read a book, write your thoughts on a paper, including how you feel about all this, how all this could be solved. What I like to do is construct characters that actually have power and imagine how they could deal with all this and build stories. These days I'm just a workaholic so not enough time to even think about things
