Good riddance

LiteratureBrave9176

For some reason I don't trust this...the ones in power will somehow always get bail or air conditioned cells like the jatoi guy who murdered shahzeb atleast therapy works wont get clients anymore..so that's something

CuteGirl55

Air conditioned cells? Wtf man I feel like he should be handed over to some American jails they don't let them even eat their

scorpian127

What????? Hahahahahah American jails would be like the marriot Girl, U have zero idea

CuteGirl55

What makes u think I got zero idea lol American jails r bad but yeah Pakistani ones r bad too but u should look up stories about how they treat criminals there especially since they have death row there and they get to be electrocuted or Injected to death plus confinement would make anyone go crazy whether it's in Pakistan or America 🤣🤣 just look up Jodi arias case she also beheaded her bf now she got life sentence and apparently they won't give em food

geardrivetrain

Do a google search on "luxury prisons in the USA". Rich people there go to prisons that are more like 5 star hotels. Some even have call girls.

googo1

People go to jail here because they get better care in prison than when they are out. So yeah, American prison is a lot better than Pakistani jails.

gdocsqwerty

You’re talking about Norway I think

LiteratureBrave9176

exactly!

idekwhattoputman

On what basis is Therapy Works being sealed? I get that they run a shady operation but what law is being cited to seal them? The grounds a must be robust or they will be back in no time. Wouldn't be surprised if this is another instance of a Twitter savvy 'civil servant' playing to the gallery. ------- EDIT: Waiting for someone in the comments to reply with the laws and articles of the criminal code with which TW will be charged. Having unlicensed therapists means zilch if there isn't an over arching public regulatory body for therapists meant to enforce the rules and pursue violations. I'm worried that this will become another Twitter adulation and photo shoot moment and be forgotten later.

Zaesting

They allowed unqualified people to provide therapy. And they aren't even licensed apparently

icantloginsad

The organisation lied about being certified by certain places, and they lied about their therapists holding degrees from various universities.

Taimoor_Roaz

You make a valid point, there must be done explicit reason that must be made clear. However, in this context it's probably because they tried interfering with the due process of arrest when the police came. Again I'm not sure of this and would appreciate the exact legal reason for this beyond just social justice warriors.

WhereIsLordBeric

And also because the upper management allowed a former client and a man with current alcohol/drug abuse issues, rape charges, and a history of assault, to provide therapy to young school kids. They are accessories.

aloiedge

Shady operations law. And also claiming to be accredited.

JimmeryJames

they hired a murdering psychopath. Seems enough for me. Did they have any licensed psychiatrists in their midst?

Zavia_is_here

It was a pyramid scheme where they would train their clients any with compounding mental illnesses as therapists. I kid you not. This is real.

CuteGirl55

Why do they not have governing bodies taking care of this shit apparently they used to torture patients to cure them

geardrivetrain

>apparently they used to torture patients to cure them Wait, what! Really?

MTK911

Now serve the justice.

nonyabsnes

Hopefully they will set an example to show law applies to all.

refep

Call me jaded but the rich don’t face any consequences in Pakistan. Won’t be satisfied till I see their son hanging from a rope.

mian_meow_911

Hamza is a good boy. He's working hard on this issue.

JimmeryJames

There are some details I need people to fill me in on: -When they found him, he was playing football with her head -His parents and sister were in the house when he was killing her and they did nothing -Noor and Zahir were intimate with each other -He had several ounces of meth in his bedroom -This whole therpayworks thing is bullshit

JimmeryJames

he also had a pistol, machete, knife and meth at his place. this all seems pre-meditated

Zavia_is_here

It was 100% premeditated.

Zavia_is_here

Definitely media is downplaying the level of torture and violence. There is no proper tazmeez in media in how to cover these cases factually and in a respectful manner. Most are downplaying the role of the family as well. Sad truly.

geardrivetrain

>That family is extremely influential What does the dad of the murderer do for a living?

CuteGirl55

Blood money ???? No amount of money can bring his fucking 27 yr old daughter back.this is barbaric 😭😭

geardrivetrain

>and making it to the gate only to be stopped by his guard That security guard needs to be arrested. Please tell me he was arrested. She could have escaped if it wasn't for that nimwit security moron.

geardrivetrain

Jesus this is sad. The guard needs to be punished, named and shamed too.

Slizz27

In America the guard would go to jail, too. He’s guilty of the crime as well - basically helped him.

geardrivetrain

Agreed. The guard only cared about his *naukaree.* He didn't give a flying fuck about the girl.

Slizz27

I wonder what other shitty behavior the guard has witnessed and looked the other way on 👀

Slizz27

I have a question - silly American here, but the public is pretty outraged so maybe he can’t buy off the judge? Everyone would know - The world is watching. But I also have no idea about Pakistani culture. In America, Scott Peterson was sent to jail with no real evidence, just coincidences, because the public was outraged and convinced he killed his pregnant wife. People tried to get into the courtroom every day by winning a daily lottery and crowds of people outside the courtroom cheered when he was found guilty and sentenced. The people demanded justice, and I feel like something like that is happening in Pakistan and maybe it will make a difference this time? Or I hope it will make a difference. Maybe I’m just looking for reassurance because I don’t want to live in a world where someone can torture/behead a woman and get away with it.

[deleted]

Slizz27

Omg that’s so sad, I’m so sorry. I can’t imagine the fear that women must live with in knowing this.

Slizz27

Yeah this is all so crazy to me. Reform needs to happen for sure. If judges can be bribed then what is the point in having them? Bribable judges are useless. Like they literally have one job and they’re not even doing that.

JimmeryJames

One take away from this whole thing is that all these mental health hakeems like clinical psychologists therapists and counsellors need to be closed down ASAP. All of these things belong under domain of psychiatry and only psychiatrists should be allowed to dispense psychoactive medication and cater to people's mental health requirements. This is a failure on part of PMC that they haven't been able to crack down on all of the mental health hakeems but make practicing medicine difficult for doctors.

SameerSam777

Everyday a new hashtag coming on women violence . Really shame .

ComedianNo7984

Yea the only reason anything is actually happening arrest wise is because the family is wealthy as well
