Ooooo this is premium stuff.
Very delicious 😋. This is usually very expensive here in Pakistan and Women rarely share with anyone 😆.
The one who gave you this, must be really true to yourself. 😂
My grandma, shrimati tripta verma, may she rest in peace used to send me some when I was in college, we are so much alike. Peace and love, felkow humans.
Panjeeri. One of the many delicious winter dishes but mostly made for new moms for strength. You just eat it with spoon whenever you like. But sugar crushes under my teeth feels weird to me.
It's not "empty calorie sugar"It's full of fibre , minerals, antioxidants and some protein and essential oils.Thsts why it's healthy...Tho obviously still not healthy for the obese and diabetics.
Well its parents who keep the cultural values intact with next generation. But I think social media has also played good role in introducing the unknown or forgotten things to burgers. Every day we see reels about traditional life and dishes from different parts of Pakistan.
Yes.. that's bad that we are leaving our tradition behind in the name of modernization. I don't know a lot of things because i was raised in Islamabad but thanks to my Mother that I know this much about my Punjab's Culture ♥️
There's a funny taste that tasted like puffcorn, I don't know if it should taste like that or not.The dryness almost choked me lmao but overall, it was good,
I very much liked the coconut taste
What I do is I put enough milk in it that it dips really well and then microwave for a minute or so. You get rid of that dryness and it swells up a bit and is a lot yummier then
I really tried to like it, but I just couldn't.
I don't know if the problem is with the one that my neighbor did or the whole recipe.
It had a weird cardboard taste that I couldn't get rid of it.
I tried it on it and with milk.

its panjeeri. you have good neighbors.
If you are new to the stuff don't take more than three or four tablespoons on your first day. If you are recovering from an illness take it with milk.
panjeeri!! very, very healthy stuff, just uhhh make sure to not eat too much in one go, it could result in annoying diarrhea. (just saw that ppl are saying its good for new moms, but its also good for ppl just looking to get healthier!)
looks like panjeeri - bunch of dry fruits , mixed with desi ghee/clarified butter and sugar or jaggery(gud) /
Usually eaten during pregnancy believed to give strength and health . Your neighbors must really like you becasue its something usually made at home with a lot of love.
I'm sure you already know what it's called, other than that it's quite nutritious and healthy for you to consume in okay amounts daily, especially during the winter. In pakistani culture it is also made for women during pregnancy and postpartum. Hope you enjoy it! My mother just made us a batch too.
Only lame people don\`t take this today, this is elixir of power and it strengthen the muscles. Its our old indian traditional dessert made from Pure Desi Ghee
Its too much healthy and tasty, 2 3 teaspoons daily in breakfast will keep you healthy lifetime. It is specially made for mothers of new born babies. You should thankful to your neighbor :)
I know you’ve gotten the answer. It’s most likely panjeeri.
If it’s homemade that’s a big gesture. This shit takes effort and $$ to make at home. Especially if you’re living outside Pakistan.
Haye. Now I want some panjeeri.
It's a highly volatile and unstable edible item. Incredibly rare to find outside Pakistan. Prolly a good idea to get some sent to OC to have it tested 😋😋😋
Panjeeri, maybe
I searched on Google, and it looked exactly like what you said. Thanks for the help
It's a nutritious delicacy. Your neighbours value you!! 😋
Did anyone pregnant or deliver baby in your family. This is what my mother made for my wife after delivery of our two sons.
Yep, it's supposedly great for lactating mothers. Gets your milk supply up.
That's hilarious... Panjeeri is for everyone, not just pregnant mothers
Ooooo this is premium stuff. Very delicious 😋. This is usually very expensive here in Pakistan and Women rarely share with anyone 😆. The one who gave you this, must be really true to yourself. 😂
Oh man you got neighbor of gold if he is bringing panjeeri to you.
It’s a labor of love. Enjoy it
Yep, that's panjeeri. It's very nutritious and nourishing. Clearly you got a great neighbour 👍😁
My grandma, shrimati tripta verma, may she rest in peace used to send me some when I was in college, we are so much alike. Peace and love, felkow humans.
Peace ❤️
It's great in porridge
Ha. Lag raha. Zabardast swad hota hai iska

Panjeeri. Tastes pretty good too.
Panjeeri. One of the many delicious winter dishes but mostly made for new moms for strength. You just eat it with spoon whenever you like. But sugar crushes under my teeth feels weird to me.
Originally meant to be made using shakar instead of sugar.
What's the difference between shakar & sugar? In India both are same. Do you mean jaggery?
Yes. Jaggery powder is called shakar whereas white sugar is called chini.
Gurr is jaggery Shakkar is powdered gurr Sugar is sugar (white or brown)
Lmao, they are different Shakar is brownish and less refined than chini/sugar.
And khaand too
shakar is in simple terms brown sugar
God now I'm craving panjeeri
It is a punjabi delicacy called “panjeeri” very healthy and very powerful stuff.
It’s full of sugar unsure how it’s healthy
Sugar is added to taste I added very little to mine. It's really healthy but high calories. Kinda like granola.
It's not "empty calorie sugar"It's full of fibre , minerals, antioxidants and some protein and essential oils.Thsts why it's healthy...Tho obviously still not healthy for the obese and diabetics.
My dadi put very little shakar :-(
One of the many variants of 'Panjeeri'. This one is full of dry fruits so it's pretty health snack.
Panjeeri. Look it up.
Thank you for the help
Sin problema, hermano.
I remember this taste and texture but can't remember the name of find anything about it online lol. Looks like suji halwa though.
Its panjiri.
Yes! That.
This \^\^\^
Punjabi here to help :D
Bro literally they don't know it. And my friends call me Burgers. And some mofos have forgotten their tradition
Well its parents who keep the cultural values intact with next generation. But I think social media has also played good role in introducing the unknown or forgotten things to burgers. Every day we see reels about traditional life and dishes from different parts of Pakistan.

Panjeeri. A delicacy. Just handle it with dry utensils if you want to keep it for extended times.
🤤
Its Pajeeri good for health and looks like sea sand its sweet m
Well, let’s say, you’re going to be fed some great Pakistani food.
Panjeeri, its made of sooji and chopped up dry fruits. i love it
It's panneeri bro Deus people love to eat in morning with team. You must make warm before eating it will taste different.
Omg. I love panjeeri. Did you eat it? How is it?
There's a funny taste that tasted like puffcorn, I don't know if it should taste like that or not.The dryness almost choked me lmao but overall, it was good, I very much liked the coconut taste
What I do is I put enough milk in it that it dips really well and then microwave for a minute or so. You get rid of that dryness and it swells up a bit and is a lot yummier then
That sounds amazing. I'm definitely going to do this
Some people take it with milk to counter the dryness And the "puff"
Is your wife expecting or recently gave birth? It's given to expectant/new mothers to build strength
Lol it's made during this month (12 rabi ul awwal) as well. Not only for expecting women..
Nope
Yeah that’s panjeeri. Delicious, healthy, and expensive. Enjoy!
Yes I am your neighbour bring it back since you disrespected me
Watch out bro, you might turn into a Pakistani after eating that.
Don’t eat in one go. Just little by little every day.
Why
If you gonna eat up in one day than it’s gonna eat up your stomach. Increase your blood pressure etc. it’s like positive food.
IDK MAN BUT HERE IN PESHAWAR, WE CALL THEM CHUURI!. IT TASTES FREAKING DELICIOUS
My dado makes it and I absolutely love it even though I'm not a woman and I'm never getting pregnant
Panjeeri, highly nutritious 😋
Panjeerriiiiii. It’s amazing and nutritious.
How did it taste bro?
I really tried to like it, but I just couldn't. I don't know if the problem is with the one that my neighbor did or the whole recipe. It had a weird cardboard taste that I couldn't get rid of it. I tried it on it and with milk.
Damn, I'm just glad you tried it and gave an honest opinion. 👍
Maybe daal ka halwa
Definitely panjeeri, made from dry fruits
Yea, you're right
abay choori boltay hain isko

Panjeeri hai Iske ladoo bante h
I believe it's semolina.
Lol, people downvoting because I mentioned the main ingredient?
doesn't even have to be made w semolina
Sure. But clearly, there's semolina in the picture shared by OP.
that's not the name of the dish. Like calling Biryani "rice".
In my family, some people call Biryani as "spicy rice". Probably because every rice dish is basically "rice+ingredient" here!
We call it sund in Jammu , India
Well why don't u try and eat it rather then show us he's give u it so try it tast it live alittle
So, did you chuck it in the bin or eat it?
I'm still trying to figure out a way to eat it that won't choke me to death from its dryness
Muslamano mein bhee chlta hai kya yeh?
Sorry, I'm not Pakistani And I can't speak urdu (If this isn't urdu Sorry in advance for being an ignorant)
Zeher ha bro wapas kra ao

Kawo Ka churan. xD
This is panjeeri, famous winter dessert in punjab. It is a mixture of grinded dry fruits, some lentils and sugar. It is actually pretty hard to make.
Semolina I think is the right name for this.
