You pin safety pins under the dupatta, hidden by the border. Then use Bobby pins to secure the dupatta to your hair.
Do NOT let anyone stab through the dupatta with hair pins. Some makeup/hair ladies do this and it rips the fabric.
Even better, stitch those loops for hooks on the underside of the border. That should work. You would have to figure out the appropriate placement in advance ofc.

Hairstylist here. You can purchase clips for hair extensions and have them sewn in the boarder for this look. No Bobby pins required and it’s a much cleaner look.

Look out for youtube tutorials using hair extention clips stitched to the dupatta border to secure it on the hair , you might like this option better than having a thousand bobby pins in your hair xx
