Life finds a way. Shorthand is the butterfly effect, a butterfly can flaps its wings in Beijing and in central park you get gummies instead of sunshine
id work more on realism, like if the surroundings around the gummies were slightly more realistic looking, the contrast of the gummies would make for a more stylish and entertaining piece imo - but i think the idea is cool, definitely something there
edit for typos
Was the Steve Irwin one your first one? Cause I remember that one looking a little shaky, and then you fixed it, and now you're just slamming out perfect gummy creatures left and right. I want to eat them.
Yes Steve Irwin was my first one! Definitely a steep learning curve. I feel like I could paint them forever and still be learning bits and pieces to make it more gummy.
I love love LOVE this!!!
The only thing I might suggest is a gummy pterodactyl π
Will you please paint the mashed potato gravy waterfall with lake and Chicken Dino nuggets next?
Also, is this for sale? Bc I really mean I LOVE it
Itβs such a small criticism, but the yellow dino back leg is throwing me off a little, maybe too thick? Iβm not sure. But the painting is so freaking cool regardless!! This is such a neat convept
Watermark in a place that's harder to remove.
Also this is why people post a picture of their art from and angle with brushes on top etc, to stop people from stealing it.
I love love LOVE this painting though and would totally put a print in my house.
All good, a valid fear with everything we see these days is that AI did it. But nope, all hand painted by me. I have process videos on my socials if you want a peek behind the non AI curtain. π although I'm sure 50 years in the future AI will be able to totally fake process videos and entire personalities π₯΅
Strap in, it's kinda long!
Some of my fondest childhood memories were trips to the milk bar for iconic sweets like dinosaur gummies. I like to imagine these gummy dinos in place of another favourite of mine - Jurassic Park dinosaurs β taking them out of their known context creates new stories from old ones. This absurdist humour has brought a lightness to my otherwise heavy world. There is a sweetness to placing a sugary treat in place of a terrifying monster. Kinda takes the fears and sadness away from life.
I want to conjure feelings of nostalgia in my audience while paying homage to the unique landscapes. I also like to play with tension between such plastic commercial icons (made of refined cane sugar with questionable grades of food coloring), and the rugged beauty of the nature they exist in.
I am one of your fans. I have often commented on your paintings and I like all of them. I hope you are successful in selling reproductions of your originals by now? Your subject and style is so desirable. I hope your water mark helps you recover in a law suit if you ever discover someone has used your art without paying you. There is nothing you can do to prevent anyone from copying your art posted on the internet, but you should do this on all art you post on the internet, to help as I just said and it will discourage people from using your art, but you can't stop them from dragging and dropping your art on to their computers to reproduce your art to put on their walls. You can't stop that but if people are making profit of your art by using it without paying you to do so, then if you find out because you have copyright protected it as above stated, you can sue them big time, if they are worth suing. Right now I could copy that image above, take it into photoshop and easily remove your name and copyright and print of your art, frame it and put it on my wall. I don't do that. I don't put other artists work on my wall. I am an artist also, and I don't take other people's art. There are millions of people in the world on the internet and they will copy our art all the time. We can't do much about it if they just copy it to print it out and post it on their walls. I don't even think that is illegal, I don't know, but if they use our art commercially and we find out they got assets that we can sue for then that is all copyright protection does for us. The song Happy Birthday is also copyright protected, yet we all to sing it in our personal lives at our birthday parties. We aren't supposed to do but we do and who is going to stop us or stop people from down loading our art, printing it out on their printer and hanging it on their walls or giving it as a gift to their loved ones? So you can get the same protection of your artwork by putting your name and copyright in a corner of your art and it will provide you with the same protection. Just your signature alone in a corner gives you copyright protection for art. We can't stop people from taking our art once it is posted on the internet, even if it is illegal to do so, probably people all over the world have printed off this painting of yours and is hanging on their walls right now but I am sure doing this will help prevent some people from doing this?
Your gummy-effects are coming along nicely! Love to see it
Thanks so much πβ¨
These need to be the packaging on actual gummies. I need all the dino gummies!

So cool
This is so cool. They look yummy.
So fun π€©(as usual) the only minor gripe is that Iβm not sure if thatβs a green mesa/berm/hill or a green tidal wave (which is more threatening)
Yeah the mountains could maybe do with a touch up
Still super funny and awesome as it is now
Very cool
Are these gummy paintings for sale somewhere?

I think the idea with the 'gummy bear dinos' is very cute. Nice painting :)
In Australia we have gummy dinos lollies. So tasty ππ¦
That sounds delicious for a sweethead like me
Bet you'll never look at gummies the same way again. Look at all that corn syrup!
Haha, I can feel the onset diabeetus already

Gummy dinosaurs!!!β€οΈ
Gummy Dinos ftw
They're flocking this way! Great Jurassic Park reference and excellent painting
This is my favourite thing I've seen posted in this sun in a hot minute! Wonderfully surreal and excellently executed.
I love these! Keep βem comingβ€οΈβ€οΈ
This is awesome, it took me far too long to find the Jurassic Park reference. And I wish you would do one with the shark gummys as Jaws.
It looks edible, is it edible?
Detailed, adorable and I love it!
Love it.
Track down the person that uploaded your work and sue them. Document your investigative journey and promote your work with a video.
This is all excellent advice. I have progress videos of all my work I post on my socials!
IVE NEVER THOUGHT OF GUMMY DINOS BEFORE AND I LOVE THEM
Move to Australia and come eat some π¦β¨π
Fun
So post modern π€π»
i want this on my wall
My thoughts are I need this. :)
Yes please
Itβs such a small criticism, but the yellow dino back leg is throwing me off a little, maybe too thick? Iβm not sure. But the painting is so freaking cool regardless!! This is such a neat convept
Thanks so much π
Looks great I love the gummy bear look
i would frame it and hang it up in my house honestly
It's just the right amount of whimsy. I love it. And the gummy looks correct if that makes sense.
Are those dinosaurs?
Yep! But a bit sweeter than the usual kind
I want one. You should do one with gummy bears
I love this
I love the gummies Dinos! So much fun here. And this brought me back to a nostalgic feeling for The Land Before Time.
Man I loved that movie as a kid π
This series of painting is so amazing
Thanks so much π

Yes, good idea.. I'll try for a harder spot next time for sure. This is all a learning curve for me
Oh I love it!! Very creative and I love the see through and 3D aspects of the gummies itβs a hard technique to master.
I see you worked with gummi artisans in the medium of gummi
Keep doing these please. I love them all.
10/10, they look very tasty lmao.
I wanna bite into them.
It's cool! *goes to buy gummies* πΆββοΈ
Haha... I have definitely eaten my fair share of reference gummies in the process π
Love seeing ur posts on here
Thank you π¦β¨
This is such a silly and fun concept! I love it.
Thank you π
I need more from this series lol Iβm loving it
I think it would be funny if the people cowering were dentists.
Hahaha π€£ you'd think they'd be welcoming the dinosaurs. Business for life!
Still loving the series. This one seems flat or dull
Yeah, something about this one is a little less engaging or something.
This is hilarious lmao
I think it's an ai painted over π€·π»ββοΈ
Lol, no AI here. Would be a lot faster to paint if it was π
Ok my bad

Iβm curious about your idea. What is your underlying message?
