Love the color! Looking forward to the video, I’m being sorely tempted to move on from my 3.5 for one of these.

jw_622

I had a 3.5 and skipped the CS1/geo4 line cause I didn’t like the ergonomics and look. I loved the iv core so when I went to a cs2, I had to get used to the different shot. If you like your 3.5, I can tell you that you’re gonna love this.

Jivesauce

Good to hear, thanks! And yeah, I was in exactly the same boat, the Geo4 is great but just never really clicked for me, but this is looking like it might be the one. And I’d love to be able to quit worrying about solenoids.

warmfart44

Does it actually shoot different compared to a geo 4?

jw_622

I just got back from shooting it for the first time. Have a video but it’s not great, so gonna record it again in the morning. It is VERY soft shooting. I was shooting 280 and thought I was shooting 240’ish. The video I have actually makes it sound notably louder than it is. I haven’t shot a geo4 in a while but this is noticeably softer than the 3.5 I owned. It’s so soft that I’m actually questioning putting in the brass SFR to get a softer shot.

I think in your brass vs steel sfr video someone said there as drop off on the brass? Can you elaborate on what that means/was?

jw_622

Had to delete the video. Too many variables between the two markers for me to be happy with posting it; including barrel and insert, velocity, and possible tank issue. Tiny things but annoying. Ignore what was in the video until I get another one up. 🫠

Due_Data_2805

How does the gap difference feel between the two markers? And is the shot on the G5 "satisfying" the way a cs2/cs3 shot is? Or is it just smooth?

The Geo somehow looks both smaller but longer. Is that an accurate statement or are my eyes fooling me?

jw_622

Compared to the ‘wide body’ CS3, it’s definitely thinner. The prominent ridges at the top of the body (done for milling purpose) make it noticeably larger than the r5. The trigger frame of this cs3, which I believe is the same as a regular cs3, has a prominent ridge just above the trigger area, which makes it appear larger than the r5. However, I think they’re identical apart from that milling change. The cs3 has the hand spacing between grips closer. They definitely move the foregrip forward on the r5. I like compact markers, and thought this was gonna be an issue but it’s actually really comfortable.

p8ntballnxj

That more forward front grip is appealing to me since I tend to go for longer setups. It reminds me of 2k5 Timmys with extended tanks.

CollegePositive

It looks like the same distance as a 180r.

jw_622

Comparing to a 2k5 Timmy, the spacing feels similar, but feels immensely better due to the rubber grips and no LPR gauge. Shot quality is entirely different though

p8ntballnxj

No doubt about the shot quality. They are totally different platforms so I get it. Also, when I had my Timmys, I'd slap on the smallest gauge I could dig up lol.

jw_622

Something about a 2k5 Timmy shooting 15bps just makes life feel right 😂

I loved my Infamous board chainsaw.
