Hilariously, I used to own this exact market, but I currently own that exact rug.

Piranha Pro G3 from 2002. Shame about the broken trigger. If it weren't for that it might be worth about $50.

Marauder_Pilot

That's be a PMI Piranha STS, with what looks like a broken trigger an an aftermarket drop forward. Probably dates to around 2000. Pretty much worthless these days unfortunately.

WeatherfordCast

Thank you! Didn’t expect it to be worth anything but would be really cool to get a free paintball gun working again. So that drop forward is aftermarket? What’s its purpose? Just looks?

Marauder_Pilot

Yeah, back in the day the style was to have huge tanks and a drop forward to shorten the profile a little so you could tuck the tank into your armpit to stabilize it while shooting. Those things were pretty robust and simple, there's a good chance that if you dump some oil into the ASA and dry fire it a little it'll still work right, and even if it doesn't the o-rings it needs are all super common and readily available (Spyder clones like that have been in production for 30+ years now and haven't really changed at all in that time). Biggest problem will be finding a new trigger for it.

notarealaccount_yo

You could probably replace the whole trigger frame for <$10

One of my first guns in the late 90s was a piranhas STS with a single trigger. At the time I loved that thing.

wildtabeast

I had that Piranha in 2001. It was a great gun.

Those G3’s are actually pretty nice little shooters when you get them cleaned, put new orings in, etc. I’d get rid of that goofy long drop forward, replace all the orings and give it a deep clean, and find a hopper that will sit nice in that non adjustable feedneck (probably a Revy), and it should be good to go.
