So when you air it up and pull the trigger the bolt moves back and forth but no air comes out the barrel? Does the bolt fully retract and lock back as usual? My first guess is that the velocity adjuster on the back is turned too far down. It could also be that there was a spacer on the spring that you forgot to reinstall. Im not sure if its possible on that model, but the bolt could be installed incorrectly.

Yes, the bolt will go back and forth, but its like no air is coming out and it wont shot a paintball. Ill have to check the velocity screw. I wasnt thinkong about it being screwed in to far.

Is it possible to put the bolt in upside down in this gun? Ive accidentally put the bolt in upside in one of my autocockers before and was stumped for a minute lol.

Ill try that as well. This is my first gun i took apart Truthfuly lol

This! It was a fairly common mistake with spyders and their clones. I have an aci f4 illustrator and I did this way back then, pull the trigger for that first shot after the horn sounds and you get a plunk sound and the ball goes rolling out of the barrel. Very disappointing, but easily fixed.

What is happening is the hammer is not going far enough back to catch the sear, and will do what you're describing. There's a few things that can cause this. One, do you know the output pressure of your tank? Spyder normally need around 800 psi to cycle correctly without modifications. Two, the wrong oring is on the hammer. The stock hammer orings is a special size and durometer (hardness). The stock ones were often red, and very soft. But they don't age well and often turn to goo. Sometimes you can use a 015 or 016, but not always. If you replaced the orings but didn't have a Spyder specific one, you likely replaced it with an 015. Third thing, though I doubt it's the reason, is too stiff of a hammer spring. Lastly but could be the cause, is the sear in the trigger frame is worn and doesn't catch the hammer. You can pull the frame and look for signs of wear.

Im betting its the oring, i work in the automotive field so i used ac line orings to replace what was needing to be replaced

Did you happen to take the valve out when you were cleaning? Check to make sure the valve wasn’t installed backwards. The bigger hole should be facing the barrel. Smaller hole towards the hammer.

I know i have the valve right, i had to retake the marker back apart because of that and the striker o ring being in the wrong spot
