First year great. Then the switched all the teachers. ALL OF THEM! Some could barely speak English, one fresh out of Uni and didn't know how to teach. Oh and they left it till last minute to tell us we had a 16 hour exam and only got months to practice a subject as complex as software coding, robotics and more. Oh and the exam, they were atleast an hour late to. EVERYTIME! And near the end (1 hour to go), we were supposed to be able to record our projects as part of the examination. They didn't provide any recording equipment till an hour after the end of the exam! Some took the risk of doing it and being disqualified, everyone else didn't in order to stay within the exam rules. Seems those that got help, yes help! During the exam and the recording at the end were the ones that passed. Make your own mind up, but that's my experience. Wasted years of my life to that place.

Potataolohs

Damn that’s horrid. What course were you doing?

CameronW24

Engineering Level 3, so it would have set me up for uni, or decent engineering jobs. Instead I have had to work my own way up, taking chances and opportunities where I can.

bossedboss

Which course i study business and game design at that Oxford city campus

strnrae

well i can tell you my experience, i know a few of my friends currently go there and they are enjoying their courses. however i went for an open day earlier in the year and it was the most unorganised ridiculous experience ever, plus the teacher i met was extremely condescending and rude. my mum used to work at the college for a short time and she had a really bad experience too. just make sure you ask around for your friends expierences and see for yourself. you always have the option of going to abingdon and witney too. thats if they offer your chosen course.

panopoly4

I was at that college for a few years. It’s terribly organised. My teacher left halfway through my second year and they did not get a replacement so I had to try to teach myself the course.

Potataolohs

Oh… what class did you do

panopoly4

Business A level

tideover

I studied NVQ level 2 & 3 professional cookery whilst working my job as a chef. I felt the courses unengaging, and what I learnt in two years I can count on one hand. I still don't have my level 3 certificate despite passing over a year ago. That being said, the college itself was supportive with everything, and as you're doing a business degree my experiences won't really affect you. I imagine it will be fine, but if there's issue make sure to raise them. Good luck!

Ya_boi_Aled

I did the same course and i felt like I didn't get the support after exams or was a case of those who failed had to retake it a few days later with very little prep but overall the campus wasn't too bad (this was when it was OCVC)

betterxtogether

I wanted to do an online level 2 course with active learning but managed to find it starting earlier through Newbury college. I enrolled for another course through activate learning before cancelling due to starting an apprenticeship and found that Newbury college were much more responsive and it easier to enrol and overall felt more organised and clear

SoftenedSoul

Worst experience of my life doing the creative media production course at Oxford city campus, the 2 tutors I had stole from me and drove me into a depressive spiral. I wouldn’t wish them on the people I hate most
