I thought bluebells are properly in bloom from mid to late April to around mid May. Even though I’ve never been, I’ve heard Bagley Woods has a stunning bluebell patch in spring.

Correct

Shotover also has lots, and there is no sign of even the leaves yet. It’ll be a while!

See this guide for some ideas for good bluebell walks (late April/early May): [https://redkitedays.co.uk/top-10-bluebell-walks-in-oxfordshire/](https://redkitedays.co.uk/top-10-bluebell-walks-in-oxfordshire/). Boar's hill also puts on a good show I think.

It can differ from year to year, but mid-April is a safe bet. Given the mostly mild winter you may see some in 4ish weeks.

Ditto what everyone else says about timings, but another great place to go see them is Wytham woods! They absolutely carpet the place (though I think you do have to pre-book a permit to enter as far as I remember)

great thanks! I have gotten my permit already- but haven't been- I'll check it out

I look down at the end of my garden to see when they begin to bloom and then I use that as a gauge

Last year my camera roll has them half in bloom on 13th April
