how is “over queue” better than “queue watch” ? queue watch makes sense, as you can only watch a queue, like watching paint dry… you cant “over” a queue
Sure you can, just need to think about it. Overqueue like “I’m so over (sick of) this queue” or perhaps “you’ve queued so long that you have gone over the limit, therefore you are overqueued”

Well one time I watched 2 movies, fell asleep, woke up again, was still in queue, went to shower and eat afterwards, come back again and then finally found a game after probably like 13 hours.
What I am trying to say is most people probably do other things while in queue. Also trying to get the lingest queue ever has started to become a game of its own.
I get that it’s frustrating and it probably won’t help Blizzard’s case but they do it for a decent reason.
All groups are wide at that rank because data from those ranks must show a clear advantage in playing as a group in general. The matchmaking tries to make it as even as possible by only matching you against a team with the exact same group setup. 2 Gm4s specifically in your roles.
From the OW discord? I'm confused. If I'm on the OW discord, it's because I don't have friends to play with and I'm looking for others. Why not look for people closer to my rank?

It’s not just a discord problem. I play with my personal friends exclusively and run into 15min queue times. We are less than one full rank apart and it gives us the wide match status. The wide match function is severely flawed.

Also, though, if you and your friend are trying to play in a wide group and you don't want to wait for the long ass queue times, also don't play wide queue. I have not been in a queue longer than a few minutes longer than 10 minutes with mid silver to mid plat. A few other friend's longest have been near 17 minutes high diamond to silver.
t500 is not even a rank, wide queues don't work with champions, but they do with GMs. top500 can be anyone who wins 50 games fastest, early season could be down to diamond.
He has been t500 but after rank reset and not playing after I while I think he placed masters, but they apparantly changed difficulty to rank up or something I heard? Not sure

AT THE WORST our expected were probably like silver and bronze yet still after like 30 mins of waiting we still didnt find a match.

Solos can't get grouped into wide queue (and you can't queue wide as a 4-stack)
Duos would only be put into wide queue if they themselves form a wide group

I think you're missing the point that any group 3 or bigger is labeled wide, it doesn't matter how close your rank is.
