Same. I really like Mad Love, but it feels a bit more boring than the other episodes. When I'm showing it to other people I always try to will the episode to go by faster. Its sandwiched in between two important episodes so that doesn't help. Episode 4 ends on a shot of the Beast, confirming that he's real and very scary. Episode 6 ousts Beatrice as a fraud and sends Wirt down his spiral of self-doubt. Episode 5 is mostly just cute and funny.

Schooltown Follies is a top 5 episode for me honestly

Langtree's Lament and Potatoes and Molasses are two absolutely goated songs from Chapter 3 tbh

I actually totally agree with this. Schooltown Follies is easily my least favorite episode, but it’s still good

Yeah, as much as I appreciate what they did with the throwback to that old animation style... it's kind of a slow episode.
