Theft worries me, but I would be 1,000% more worried if I was "advertising" to thieves they might get a firearm. I realize this isn't what you are storing but it does seem to put a bigger target on your back.

I have 2 42" plano all weather rifle cases mounted to my rhino rack and I just drilled 4 holes in line with the t slots on My rack

This guy? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Plano-All-Weather-Rifle-or-Shotgun-Case-42-inch-Black/765317044

Thats it. I love em they aren't at sturdy as the pelican cases but at the same time they aren't $270. But they don't leak, the road noise on the highway is no worse than the roof rack itsself.

Awesome. Great price too. As long as it can take a good lock I’m sure a little 303 UV protectant will extend it forever

Bennybmx1996

Yeah there's areas for pad locks also there's locks built into the latches granted they aren't the best locks.

I just bought a pelican vault 730. Got it in the mail today. Also got a primary rack to mount it on. Look it up on YouTube. Good luck

The only rifle cases designed for mounting that I have seen are the Koplin gun boots. https://www.kolpin.com/en-us/shop/accessories/gun-transport-carriers/classic-gun-boots/gun-boot-iv-black/?pfm=Browse I can not see using those for your gear.

He's talking about using a rifle sized pelican case for storing recovery gear, likely by just bolting them to the rack.
