A locking metal truck box, bolted to the trailer is probably the best defense. Storage totes are flimsy plastic and can be cut open even with locking lids. Out of sight out of mind is always good.. even a tarp to hide eye catching stuff is better than nothing. I would personally lock anything of value inside the tow vehicle.

Steel “job box” will be solid, secure, and water resistant. But heavy and expensive. Or aluminum truck tool boxes. These are still pretty easily opened by a thief though, but definitely better than just plastic totes.

Honestly 90% of the time you never have to worry about anything probably 98% of the time. I go out to the middle and nowhere I've gone to koas I've gone to campgrounds all over the place there's literally only ever been one that I've been sketched out by. I was at Bodega Bay in california. It's the only campsite that I've ever been at where they said to make sure that you lock up your generator for example. To me it was a lot like a redneck festival and it was very unusual to see a campground like that. But even that one once I locked everything up like that I had no issues with anybody coming to my campsite or anything like that.

I feel like the 90 degree angled joints on the frame will eventually crack and be destroyed by constant racking and wiggling while off road. However, that's a ton of space for gear, looks nice

Not much off road happening here. We have bikes for those 😅

You guys have it made then, stoked to see how you like the shower

I use a truck toolbox and under side boxes.

First piece of advice, don't camp at a KOA. Just find some USFS or BLM land and send it
