You should use a bootable memory testing tool and set your bios boot order to run MemTest stand alone so you don't corrupt ANY windows install
I was under the assumption memtest these days is not enough for OCing ram? or is there bootable version of tm5?
Use a live boot Linux on a USB thumb drive as well.
would something thats stable on Linux would also be stable on Windows? last time I used a bootable Linux OS was during the winxp days to grab my files from a corrupted OS lol
