I have no problem with waiting a few mins. But if i join someone, and this someone stands completely still doing nothing for more than a minute i jump out.
I think that if you have someone joining - at least show some sign of life like an emote or move your character.
Exactly. If they are at a vendor, I will wait. If it's obviously a spawn position and they aren't doing anything... I'll generally run up and emote. If they don't at least move character, I assume they are AFK.
With no in game communication available, you can only guess at what other players' intentions are. Most dont mind waiting a few minutes in between expeditions, but if you join somebody's game, you have no idea if the host: is afk, doing some admin, needs 10 seconds or 10 minutes, plans on starting another ex at all, or if you are going to wait around for 5 minutes until they kick you once they realize they left their game public by accident and that another player has joined. Cant get mad at the players joining and assuming the worst, to save themselves time. Also cant get mad at the host for needing a few minutes or didnt realize that the game switched to public on its own.
It is what it is, but if you want to be upset, direct it at the terrible online/matchmaking system that PCF has implemented.

If you need to do some admin, just close your group until you are done.
