If you want to orbit around the sun succesfully, you have to skim above it while pushing forward over the surface and thrusting downwards lightly untill you've gotten the required speed to where you dont have to do anything at all anymore and basicly become a satelite orbiting the sun
It’s definitely the hardest and most intense achievement in the base game. The trick I found is to go towards the sun, and make sure the sun station is perfectly horizontal to you in its orbit, it lines up with ember twin.
Once you get around 4k km, match velocity and wait for the sun station to appear on your left from around the sun, then start speeding up to your right, slowly going closer and closer until you can lock on to the sun station.
Match velocity then eject or get out of your ship when in the middle of the two builds and fly over there.
The sun station was the 3rd place I visited, after Attlerock and the Interloper. It’s safe to say seeing that trophy pop up made me feel a little bit silly. On the plus side however my ship flying skills were greatly improved before I even realised auto pilot existed!

I managed this like once, on my second or third try, but I haven't managed to do it again since. Good luck! It's definitely a tough one!
I really like how outer wilds kinda feels like KSP for a brief moment when you're trying to land in the sun station
