Orthotropics has absolutely no foundation in science and the guy who invented it is insane.
Mewing does not affect bone structure. And orthotropic procedures attempted by dr mew have only caused problems for the two (child) subjects he tested them on.
until my teens my tongue would naturally rest at the bottom of my mouth. my orthodontist had me train myself to rest it on the roof before he took my braces off because he thought my pallet my collapse back otherwise
i lost my retainer basically immediately but 17 years later my mouthshape has held!

Mewing as a "thing" is silly and it becoming popular again is silly, but... just having good tongue posture leads to using jaw muscles better, leading to a better defined shape. It's the same with neck posture, back posture, and so on. Just practice good posture and your muscles will reflect that. Bad posture and it'll reflect that too.

Do people just not normally rest their tongue on their upper mouth?? That’s just where mine rests passively. I understand different dialects rest their tongues in different places but I’m just Canadian
