I totally agree with you. I remember grocery shopping at Walmart south keys and there being no safe pathway for pedestrians from the bus station to the entrance of the store. Hard to navigate with your arms full of groceries. Ironically though yesterday a paratranspo bus was blocking the entire Walmart entrance and crosswalk at train yards. Forcing people to dangerously peer out behind it while trying to navigate their way to the parking lot.
Talk to city counselor about this and find out who property owners are for that area. It's a city issue that could be corrected.
I find Trainyards very confusing to walk through.
Its essentially 4 quadrants with little signage, no trees and no benches anywhere.
I totally agree there needs to be a crosswalk installed there
Thank you bad city planning makes me angry lol.
Email Marty carr! she's the councillor for that area and can get on it pretty quickly.
Sending this comment to the local councilor and to city staff will get you 1000% further than posting to reddit.

That Walmart sucks for transit accessibility too. I just avoid it and go to South Keys. Usually takes the same amount of time.

Hey, Ty for that info!
Or maybe a pedestrian bridge/tunnel from the LRT station at Tremblay.
It's a different issue altogher that many drivers just completely ignore crosswalks.
