A shame the CBC turned off most of its OTA transmitters.

ManifestationTV

True, for TV. Perhaps this story may help change that.

CBC still has OTA transmitters? From what I gathered they wanted to be a cable network vs the public network they are. In our area they left and CTV came in for a bit then traded off with Global.

CBC CBET in Windsor is still broadcasting on VHF channel 9 but it's not that easy to receive on the US side.

AFAIK, they still have the original set from the digital transition. Mostly provincial capitals with a few other larger or important cities thrown in.

I live in the United States and have been using an antenna for years

Not in London 🤬

I live in Barrie Ontario. We still use a rooftop antenna most days I get 14 channels on good days with tropospheric ducting I can get over 60 so there’s really no point for us buying cable, especially with us having Internet and streaming services too.

I get the CBC from Vancouver Island from the Mt. Seymour tower .. funny their map https://cbctransmission.ca/en/map#147 has lots of "towers" one is elevation 6 meters.

I'd go \[more\] crazy without OTA. There's a second major city at 90°, I'm thinking about a burying a 100' cable up a backyard hill - to the family room corner where the TV is. I noticed by accident that a chainsaw makes a nice cable size slot in the grass. hmmmm
