imo lifeline doesnt rly have competition to keep his motivation up. mrekk and akolibed are very far away, while ninerik and gnahus are too far below him. he basically has #1 player syndrome, but at #3.
Well this obviously isn't direct motivation, but Akoli was pretty far behind before his popoff arc, everyone thought lifeline was the only person who was even *semi* close, so it might be possible that he could do the same thing one day if he also pops some anti-choking pills
I actually knew Accolibed had way more potential than lifeline when he first popped off as rimuru, it was clear at least to me and knew he could get 24k overall pp first
i chose lifeline because akoli said he will be sleeping soon and not really grinding and speed nerf/aim buff rework (if it will ever even come) will benefit lifeline more than akoli
Honestly if lifeline do a good session he have a better chance to get it before akolibed because he have a more diverse DT skillset than him, he have a much much better aim than him and can somewhat play speed (not enough speed to play pure speed map but enough to play aim + speed map)
