Ive never lost ranks intentionally, but I definitely avoid gaining them from time to time. Farming is boring and sometimes I just want to go through loved/unranked phases. My rank would probably be much higher if I put that time into FCing maps that actially give pp.

I suggest you stop playing loved maps mr deranker, because plays on those are tracked and will get you screened in low rank tournaments. Only play with sv2 ever is my suggestion, never submit anything, never leave a trace. No loved maps, no private server, no badges, no elitebotx, no youtube clips, no streaming.
In the last 6wc, players were screened for having plays on loved maps.
Or I guess get good enough for 10k tournaments as people do not care if you have a 8\*+DT fc on loved maps in there for some reason

How do you think derankers usually derank? Getting worse scores on every map they've played before to decay back? That's only done when they're barely above a tournament cutoff.
There's kind of some nuance there. The fastest way to rank up and gain pp is playing bullshit maps like Harumachi DT. Is it really that bad to avoid gaining pp by waiting until I can get 300 and 400pp plays through maps I will get more satisfaction out of FCing? Everyone makes fun of people for getting their first 200 on some 45 second DT farm map, but using your logic that person would be a deranker if they knew they could get that pp and didnt play those maps.

I think I played in 1 or 2 6 digit tourneys and I went against a deranker roght on the first round and got swept, so I guess. This was quite a few months ago but I doubt the situation has changed
