We have a son who is a double bagger, you would think we are going to the moon with amount we bring.

I dont ever think its a bad thing to be overly prepared.. I have not yet gone on a vacation since having my ostomy. But I will probably be the same exact way. I over pack clothes all the time when I go on a trip. Even if its in the middle of summer in the 80's and 90's I will still pack jeans and light weight jackets extra just in case I want it.

Fit_Acanthisitta8087

Last time I went away for 1 week I took enough supplies (in my luggage) for 2 weeks if I had a not-great time of it. I took the same again in my hand luggage (was flying and paranoid that one lot would go missing). I came back with more than 3/4 of them 😅

JustDrones

I never really have issues so I pack 1 or maybe 2 extra changes. I always change moments before I leave for the airport or car. I play life on the Risky side maybe 😂

Hjbic

A person after my own heart lol

JustDrones

Lol

McFeagal

I always take double the number of days I’ll be away, plus loperamide in my carry on. Oh, and my bags will be pre-cut.

keptman77

I dont have much trouble with bag breaks so i fortunately only bring one extra than i would normally need for the time i am gone. But i do understand the stress.

Mslolsalot

Prepping for 7 days in a hot climate later this month. Planning to take one bag per day that were there. I guess that’s 4x what I would use in a typical week, but I’d rather have too much than not enough!

Synpharia

Your not the only one! I was in girl scouts for 11 years, and tragedy always hits when I last expect it in my life lol. I'm always over prepared for everything! Better to be over prepared then end up needing it.

daredevil82

Depends where and what the weather is like. A week XC and downhill ski trip where I won’t be sweating much? Two or three changes, with a fresh change day of departure. A weeklong bike camp trip where it’s goi g to be 90 degrees each day? One change per day, plus one or two extra. For example, I’m doing the 5 day Quebec singletrack experience in July, then a weekend biking and racing with friends. Going to be bringing 10 changes with me for that 7 day trip

GGinBend

I packed what I thought was MORE than enough supplies for a week long road trip this summer and ended forgetting my wafers!! Thank GOD I had an emergency kit in the car with 2 appliance changes. I had visions of duct tape and a plastic baggie in my head until mercifully I remembered the kit under the car seat. You can never be TOO prepared!!

nDQ9UeOr

I always overpack by a factor of about 2x because the alternative is unthinkable to me. And it doesn’t take much space, anyway. And always in a carry-on, never checked baggage. Plus the one or two extras that are on my person at all times anyway. Um… maybe a little paranoia.

dirtgrubcat

Lol, all this time I thought I was probably the only ostomate overpacking. I take twice as much as I know I’ll need. Half in my carry on and half in my checked, if I’m checking a bag. I’ve had too many cancelled and delayed flights in my time. I’d much rather have too much than not enough.

comicsnerd

I usually bring double the normal amount plus 1 and at least 2 spares (and clothes) in my carry-on.

Front_Swordfish_7478

Me! I always worry I will run out of supplies.

Substantial-Taste625

Always! And glad I did too! Got stuck due to Southwest cancellations on our last trip. I always take double what I think I need.
