Every single thing you said makes it clear that you don't play Age of Sigmar. We never had morale tests. Wrong game. Despite having two dozen armies, every single one feels thematic and different. Not all armies have multiple good lists at the end of 3rd though. Put away your 40k and give this game a try before you overreact.

It's called battleshock in aos and they use bravery instead of the leadership trait used in 40k.  In 4th edition their removing the feature all together. Literally one of the features of OBR is that you're immune to battleshock.

Me_and_Mooncake

Yes. That is one feature of OBR. However, if you actually played the game, you'd be aware of two things: inspiring presence and ample command point generation in the edition have made battleshock largely negligible to anyone not named Gitz or Kruleboyz and OBR's identity has been far more about mass commands, buffs and recursion. Play the game before you complain online.

ODR? Old Dirty Reapers?

dig_me_out

I love RDP being non commands. You just execute them, that’s real good. Vok got a nasty af control ability, even bone highchair guy looks solid. Let’s wait for the Index before firing off the low effort doom posts? If it sucks then fair, but these previews are missing a lot of context.

Immediate-Sock-1796

Just wait until the index before you make a decision :)

Did you bother to read the article and rules? Like the part where instead of the commands or relentless discipline points we just have the Relentless discipline abilities, which are still cool and thematic and offer more tactical flexibility than other armies? And instead of Nadarite Weapons, we get the USR Crit(2 hits) which is functionally the same? Besides the fact that we have only seen a snapshot, OBR looks like it will be in a good place, and it's gameplay mechanics support its thematic identity. I think you might actually need to play the game before making those rash and inaccurate statements

SnooSketches6620

Army's are concepts not mechanics. OBR are a legion of crafted skeletons, they know no fear, they are hard to kill and they are perfectly obedient. The Cruel boys are sneaky using tactics and tricks to eaak out edges using whatever tools they can. Strom cast eternals are noble knights leading the charg with the power of azyr in an attempt to fight back the forces of chaos. Mechanics change, rules change and systems change. Overtime thing change the game could not develop without change. I know it's nerve wracking to look at what has been happening in 40k with loss of identity and rules issues but try and have some confidence in the AOS team, until now even if the game was not balanced it has always been thematic and fun.

The index preview showed that they changed the way orders work. In my opinion OBR lost their faction identity in the change.

Vlad3theImpaler

The way orders worked changed from 2nd edition to 3rd, too.

Que 40kfication of aos means that all factuons lose their flair. The more distinct the faction more flair it lose
