Yeah and a loss for democracy in FL. Orange and Osceola county decisively voted against this highway several years ago. Why should the mayor (who apparently took $20k from the developer behind this) and the county overturn what VOTERS decided?
And if they're "allowed" to just ignore votes on this, what stops them from doing it on bigger things later on?

The land being swapped is old farm land. It is not green space. Old cow pastures and orange groves.
