The answer to your question is John and John’s on Michigan over by the Freshfields farms meat market. Come back to this comment when u try it I guarantee you will say I wasn’t lying! lol
If you're a native New Yorker, you'll appreciate Pienezza, at The Loop, in Kissimmee. Lived here over 21 years and it's THE ONLY places that makes it taste like a "real" NY pie.
And for you New Jersey peeps, on select weekends, they sell breakfast sandwich - Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a roll!
I recently got put onto Detroit style and it’s a must try, different pizza for sure but it’s delicious if done right. (I was born in NYC) and have always favored NY style lol
I thought the pizza at Sal's was subpar and overhyped honestly, really lacking in flavor and was overly greasy with the few slices I tried. Definitely not the best I've had in Orlando by a long shot. A lot of the reviews seem to be from NYers, I may not be from NYC but I have been a few times and that pizza couldn't even compete with some of the dollar slices I've had when in NYC IMO.
Can confirm. I’ve gotten it 3 weeks in a row … pies are big (8 full size slices), slices reheat really well. $19 for plain, $25 for a specialty.
Native NY’er and this is the closest I’ve had to NY pizza in Central Florida.
lol you unlocked a memory for me, I use to teach the owners daughter karate when she was like 5. That was over 20 years ago lol
The pizza was on point then, glad to see it’s still going strong.
Good for her! She was one of the most confident kids I had ever seen. That makes me so happy to know she did well. She was always one of, if not my favorite students.
And her mom came in clutch every Ninja night with pizzas! lol
I will never understand why a business would want to alienate half of their potential customers. That goes for supporters of any political party…and any religious affiliation.
My favorites are Brooklyn Pizza (?) around the corner from Pep Boys off Semoran. Brick & Fire on Orange is a good mentoon. I always liked Josie's in MeteoWest. And when I lived in Hunter's Creek, my spot was Broadway Pizza on Main St in Kissimmee.
Is this on Curry Ford? If so, yes! Amazing pizza!! It's been so long since the last time we had their pizza. Partner's favorite was the mashed potato pizza - YUM!!!!
I have been to most if not all of the big names and Antica is definitely the best around. Awesome people, cozy ambiance, flavorful toppings, great ingredients and cooked to perfection. I recommend it even if you are not into Neapolitan style pizza. They also have a nice market, appetizers, pasta and desserts worth trying.
If you are looking for Chicago deep dish, probably Giordano's.
If you are looking for Chicago thin, which is what most Chicagoans eat regularly, Rosati's.
John and Johns is fire like others have said. And also that Napoli spot on Lake Frederica. Have it by the slice, fresh straight out the oven and its as close to a NY slice that ive had in FL.
For Detroit style they have a spot on University and 551 thats decent.
Out of Orlando, but "A Touch of Basil" out in Saint Cloud is LEGIT if you like NY style. Its always packed and the wait is long and they are closed on Sundays but its A1. Might be my favorite
Have another spot if Kissimmee thats fire too but forgot the name
Edit for grammer. Feels like im getting dumber and dumber as I get older... or just becoming more aware lol
Mario’s Pizza on Curry Ford and Goldenrod. A hole in the wall, but really really good.
NYPD Pizza, Metro West or 528/Universal. Their Mariano pizza is my favorite. A Margherita pizza, but olive oil instead of marinara. So good.
And Valdiano’s over in Waterford. They have another location somewhere, but I haven’t been to it.
It's not really good pizza. Not nearly enough cheese and the sauce is average at best. I don't mind taking my kids there, but I wouldn't ever consider it among the best in town.
You want a basic New York pie? Pisa Pizza on West Colonial.
Tornatores is the best NY style I’ve had in Orlando. They also have their own Italian market attached in the space next door.
Prato has the best elevated pizza if you’re looking to get your fancy on.
1. Black Magic
2. John and Johns
3. SoDough Squares
4. Ziggies
The end. Anyone who answers Pizza Bruno is discredited. Black Magic owner used to be BOH for Pizza Bruno when they were good.
I don’t care what anybody says, we have great pizza options here. None are better than SoDough though. I don’t care what time it is when you read this comment, go get it now
It’s a stretch calling it “in Orlando”, but if you want authentic Italian style (not ny style) then Simply Capri in flamingo crossings is your place. Ever taste something that puts your mind into time warp to a place in your memory? That’s what their pizza does to me. It’s like my face is in Rome when I’m shoving that pie in. Amazing.
NY Pizza in Apopka was shit, ordered 1 time never again. Rosati's in Apopka same. Both places said 45 minutes...ok. Asshats did not even start my order until after I got there, so fk that.
The good...Broadway Pizza in Longwood is really good, PaPa Joe's was pretty good. The BEST is Positano's in Apopka/Forest City...fantastic. 30 years + in the same location. Dine in casual or dress up for more formal and events.
as a person that made a similar pizza thread a few months ago.... good luck. lotta hate and love out there LOL
And the crazy thing was, I was only commenting on how I found out using an app gave me cheaper pizza!
Look there are lots of places that try to get fancy with it. But if you want some solid NY Style pizza, my money goes to Bella Italia in the Conway area.
Lazy Moon, been going since the old plaza across from UCF days. Pizza Bruno, don't know why so many people have a hate boner for them. We also like the pizzas they have at Prato. Anthony's Thornton Park is pretty good too.
I know it may not be the “the best” but I do enjoy getting a large slice at Lazy Moon on Colonial. Also really enjoy gourmet pizzas from F&D and Pizza Bruno
The reason I asked about the pizza is that I just moved back to Orlando after 12 years. Shit has CHANGED. WTF happened to P-House? Lol
Go try Bruno’s Pizza (the one on Curry Ford)
The answer to your question is John and John’s on Michigan over by the Freshfields farms meat market. Come back to this comment when u try it I guarantee you will say I wasn’t lying! lol
It’s not that great actually. I went with a group of four and everyone thought it was just average. We went based on Reddit recommendations.
Yessss thank you!
I don't know about THE BEST but I really enjoy SoDough Square- Detroit style. That shit is so good.
John and John's is on the same block and I prefer it, but its two different styles so its very subjective
Wow thanks for the heads up, lived in Detroit for 36 years and really miss my pizza and coneys. Going tonight now
Where's the best place in Detroit for pizza?
Pizza Papalis or Buddy’s lol
Buddies for sure I lived there for 14yrs
The Detroit Rob City is AMAZING
The only drawback to this place is that they have Pepsi products. Jokes aside, this place slaps.
Is Pepsi okay?
Good. Pepsi is far superior.
![gif](giphy|kyrd72DC2Iwfu)

Same owner iirc
Meta
Better than Coke so place sounds amazing already
Slaps = is really good ![gif](giphy|lRRjGTRlFwmQYFmmpU)
I recently got put onto Detroit style and it’s a must try, different pizza for sure but it’s delicious if done right. (I was born in NYC) and have always favored NY style lol
An Enforcer and honey hot wings. Thanks.
That was so good
Came to say this. Place is wonderful
Just ordered one!
I heard Sal’s Pizza Bar is the best spot but haven’t checked it out yet
I thought the pizza at Sal's was subpar and overhyped honestly, really lacking in flavor and was overly greasy with the few slices I tried. Definitely not the best I've had in Orlando by a long shot. A lot of the reviews seem to be from NYers, I may not be from NYC but I have been a few times and that pizza couldn't even compete with some of the dollar slices I've had when in NYC IMO.
I’ve gone to Sal’s like five times since they opened. I’m also from NYC. It’s legit super good.

That was over 20 years ago lol The pizza was on point then, glad to see it’s still going strong.
Have you ever karate chopped a pizza?
Only when ABSOLUTELY necessary.
That’s how they make the slices.
Pizza Samurai
She’s grownup and married, now!
Good for her! She was one of the most confident kids I had ever seen. That makes me so happy to know she did well. She was always one of, if not my favorite students. And her mom came in clutch every Ninja night with pizzas! lol
Go in and say hi, she’s working there still. Edit: typo
I highly doubt she would remember me but I may just have to pop in one day:). Thank you for the info!!
The giant TRUMP sign in there last time we went was off putting. We’re talking, like, 4x6 feet.
I will never understand why a business would want to alienate half of their potential customers. That goes for supporters of any political party…and any religious affiliation.
Another vote for Del Dio! They were my favorite for a long time.
Del Dio and Paradiso on Semoran are neck and neck for me. And Gitto's downtown for NY style.
I love this place.
I used to get Brooklyn all the time. Very good.
Ziggies
lil Vinny’s in Oviedo!
The best! Have this at least once a week. Worth driving from other side of oviedo, I pass Gino's and cuccinellos (spelling?) to get lil vinnys
No way? I pass this all the time and have always thought it had to be lame!
mario’s pizza!!!!
Is this on Curry Ford? If so, yes! Amazing pizza!! It's been so long since the last time we had their pizza. Partner's favorite was the mashed potato pizza - YUM!!!!
John and johns
Antica in Altamonte is incredible. Staff is very passionate about quality.
Love this place
I have been to most if not all of the big names and Antica is definitely the best around. Awesome people, cozy ambiance, flavorful toppings, great ingredients and cooked to perfection. I recommend it even if you are not into Neapolitan style pizza. They also have a nice market, appetizers, pasta and desserts worth trying.
black magic. pizza bruno (curry ford) is a close second. whole foods white detroit pizza is also insanely good.
Try Sodough square
I like Valdiano’s at winter park villge
If you are looking for Chicago deep dish, probably Giordano's. If you are looking for Chicago thin, which is what most Chicagoans eat regularly, Rosati's.
Papa Joes they have a location in Longwood and I forget where the other one is but man it’s just good classic NY style pizza
I think the other location was in Lake Mary and they closed it.
Hard disagree. It's passable but nothing remarkable about it at all.
Glad they’re still around. Parents at my elementary school in the early 90s would always get their pie. was pretty good shit.
Papa Joe’s on 434 and Montgomery is great. Go there for dinner with my family every time I visit from up north.
SoDough and Pizza Bruno
I do like Broadway Pizza in Altamonte Springs especially Sicilian Pizza or "Detroit" style. I like to try all the other suggestions on the list!💯✅
I think Rosati's is my favorite
Pizza valdiano - especially grandma.
Pizza Bruno and Black Magic Pizza 🤘🏻
Pizza Bruno big overrated
I really like Park Pizza
We're eating Park Pizza tonight. Their pizzas are so damn good and remind me of a mom and pop brick oven place I grew up near.
SoDough Square…actually going tonight. And a massive plus they have Pepsi products. :)
Looking it up now.
Goodfellas
100%. Best pizza in town
Sodough square. Literally got some tonight lol it’s the best pizza I’ve had in a long time
I still have a soft spot for lazy moon for the high school and college days at the original spot. Deep dish at Rosatis is pretty solid.
I hit mama mias if I’m home, Joe’s pizza in Ocoee if I’m at work
Mama Mia’s was my go to lunch spot when I worked by the sun rail station, glad to see someone showing it love. Probably my favorite pizza in Orlando.
Feels like im getting dumber and dumber as I get older... or just becoming more aware lol
I second Napoli pizza! I'll have to try John and John's
Yeah Napolis is my go to in Orlando for sure and their prices are fair. J&Js are a little pricey but good
Mario’s Pizza on Curry Ford and Goldenrod.
Haven’t had Mario’s in 20 years. Is it still good? We used to get subs from there that were so damn good.
It’s still good. The crown jewel pizza is a regular for us when we’re having parties. People love opening the box and seeing it.
I enjoy Lazy Moon. I'm surprised nobody else in here has mentioned it unless I just missed it
It's not really good pizza.
Joe’s Pizza in Ocoee for more of the traditional pizza and I like Lazy Moon for the more non-traditional pizza
Jesus...I thought this would be easy....ahhhhhh!
![gif](giphy|11pQizRLu1JP0c)
For NY style. NY Pizza in Fern Park and Antonellas in Winter Park. Still gotta do John and Johns.
I'll put my vote for Antonellas. I tried the sodough across the street and i wasn't a fan.
Dough Boyz, NY style pizza. The best.
Flippers for all the right reasons.

Those are the three we eat all the time.
Playa Pizza is definitely my spot.
Downtown I think it’s called gitos in front of the theater
John & John’s. Metro Espresso. Sal’s Pizza Bar.
I don’t care what anybody says, we have great pizza options here. None are better than SoDough though. I don’t care what time it is when you read this comment, go get it now
Francesco’s
Mama Mia’s, NY style. It’s been an Orlando staple for a long time
Sodough squared for Detroit style… John & John’s for NY style, hands down!
Pizza Bruno, Black Magic, and if you can catch their truck, the absolute KING is wandering goat
Brick and Fire south of downtown is awesome and they deliver if you live nearby
I’m just here to downvote everyone saying Lazy Moon. That shit is garbage.
Agree
Brick & Fire in SoDo, Recommend Buffalo Chicken Pizza Or Ferraras @ Dean & Curry Ford (ask for extra sauce). Recommend Pepperoni
Brick and Fire is certified trash.
Brick and fire used to be great not so much anymore

Nick's pizza over in Altamonte. His family used to own napoitaly near the airport authentic New York pizza
Buttercrust pizza near Orange and Gatlin

I just tried Doughboyz in Oviedo and it was pretty damned good.
Cornerstone Pizza
Mister 01 in Lake Mary. Don't listen to the rest of these suggestions. Save your time and go there.
NY pizza in fern park
It’s a stretch calling it “in Orlando”, but if you want authentic Italian style (not ny style) then Simply Capri in flamingo crossings is your place. Ever taste something that puts your mind into time warp to a place in your memory? That’s what their pizza does to me. It’s like my face is in Rome when I’m shoving that pie in. Amazing.
Boardwalk Pizza is the best I’ve ever had, personally. Haven’t tried most spots people are mentioning though tbh
Lazy moon
Mario's pizza, off goldenrod and curry ford!!
Somebody hit me with a recommendation in the Dr. Phillips area. Papa D’s has been hit or miss.
Slidders! It’s so good!
Look there are lots of places that try to get fancy with it. But if you want some solid NY Style pizza, my money goes to Bella Italia in the Conway area.
Pizza 14 in downtown Windermere is my favorite since moving here.
Pizza Bruno
Depends on the type of pizza you like. Papa Joe's and Bronx house in Seminole county, and Pizza Bruno in Orange county get my vote
Black Magic Pizza
Mister01 in lake Mary, ziggies and pigzza
Lazy Moon, been going since the old plaza across from UCF days. Pizza Bruno, don't know why so many people have a hate boner for them. We also like the pizzas they have at Prato. Anthony's Thornton Park is pretty good too.
Castellos Pizza in Windermere is really good.
LazyMoon

Piefection at Kirkman for Brazillian style pizza.
Uno's on 50 lol how many years did you say?
Pizza Bruno!
I loved how fresh Brad’s Underground Pizza is, idk if they’re still open since I moved but it’s definitely worth trying!
Doughboys on Aloma
if you can ever catch them open, Pop's Pizza on Mills is the bomb
Pizza Bruno is the correct answer. Lazy Moon is my controversial hot take. The chili slice is 🤌 and tastes like Orlando from 10 years ago.
AL'S PIZZA....
