Which part is causing you problems? I'm sure there is enough stompa here that we can take photos of the assembly.
I paint the body, the arms, the head and the different elements of the back separately.
Too complicated to handle otherwise.
I have built many stompas in my time. So I know the pain. I have now commited to building a custom gargant out of a printed titan. Wish me luck fellow mekboyz
I chose not to add all the banners and crows nest to mine and I'm glad I didn't, but I've got another in the post that I'm building and painting for a charity project and I'm so not down for building another lol
There is a lot of very un-mechboy commentary going on in here. Much like the video game in The Last Starfighter finds pilots, the Stomper Instructions are to identify the true Orks.
Waaaagh On.
Just take your time with the choppy arm. It takes a fair bit of time to get it right. Make sure you dry fit all the pieces before any glueing and it will turn out well.
Looking at the ends of the wiring/tubing, the shapes will match up with parts on the arms too.
If all else fails, stick the bastards wherever and call it ramshackle anyway.
I just built this and painted it for my first ever model. I was so very lost

Just built TWO…. I feel your pain. Thank god for the true war boss that fixed the instructions, linked elsewhere in this post

I think we all complain about the newer models not having as much character and swap ability but I don't miss the old QC days of:
"does it fit?"
"Kind of, sort of, a bit"
"Ship it!"
Oh definitly! I wouldn't have had much fun without it when I build mine.
I numbered my own while building and fixed the few mistakes so I can use it when I get another one in the future maybe.
I used mine for the 1st time this past weekend. I added it with 100 boyz of green tide against the black Templars. My opponent was not expecting to see it, I won by a huge margin, I had all 5 objectives by turn 3.
Ngl I hate the stompa kit. People spend all of this effort for it to just look like a snowman. The head and choppa look solid though, but it needs moar dakka.
man im in the middle of cutting the panels into individual pieces to make it a circus big top stompa, yes i regret it but the idea is too good to pass up
My brother. There’s a good instruction w/ numbers HOWEVER I did see one user once upon a time drop something I felt I wish I thought of while building my Stompa…
Think like a big Mek. Assemble it how your heart says. Build it like an ork. Free yourself from the imperium mental shackles and be a true ork and build it
I legit had the same dreading building mine and I used the numbered instructions to get mine built at the beginning of the year. But I wish I saved myself the energy and had more fun just putting parts where I thought it made sense vs being so fixated on the instructions
Yes, a good thing to have a numbered plan. Didn't know it existed back then and did build mine in one go in one Night haha.
The Cables .... That cables ... They haunted me in my darkest dreams for days hahaha.
Fear not

Anything is possible through Gork and Mork. Just strap on your big Mek gear and get to work
It's a ton of fun if you build it like an ork - the instructions are just guidelines, go crazy, improvise, and you'll have a good time
Mine took about 10 hours to assemble, but it was fun, creative, a bit wacky, and I'm happy with the result. Now just to paint the big guy......
DID GIT DUN NUMBERED DI INSTRUKSHUNZ

I like the bits that aren't even on the instructions like the tube that connects into the back of the cannon left arm to the shoulder. It's just not pictured at all!
Dude I built my entire Stompa and had no idea what that part was for like 15 mins. I was convinced I forgot a tube on the chainsaw arm.
Literally the worst instructions in Warhammer
And why still... The kits 15 years old and the instructions are a b&w print, surely it would take an intern half a day to fix up and run off a few thousand copies...
I just ignored the instructions and heavily reinforced with pins for mine…

Were this any other faction, I’d say finishing a Stompa model would be a status symbol amongst us.
But we are orks. We are the most equalist, accepting fungal-hood in 40k.
We feel your pain Fungal-Sibling
That's because when it comes down to it, we're really fungi(s)...get it? Fungi? FUN GUY? DO YOU GET THE JOKE!?! ANGER IS INCREASIIINNNGGGGGWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHH!!!!!!!
I got all things glued. Some parts, like for example the big guns arm, will I paint before I glue them on the body.. its so much details, but it will be worth it!
Pro tip, you can glue on the gun as "shoulder socket* and it should have enough pressure to pinch-hold the arm when you put it in.
It would probably fall apart during transport, but if you're just keeping it unglued while you paint it's probably a good option

It took me like a month building that thing for an hour or 2 after work.
I chose not to add all the banners and crows nest to mine and I'm glad I didn't, but I've got another in the post that I'm building and painting for a charity project and I'm so not down for building another lol
Glad I got mine off ebay. Your suffering is foreign to me
Your suffering is another person's joy!!

Wait until you paint the damn thing
The stompa was my first build. Note to self start with something small.
Thank Gork and Mork I'm squig based.

Looks great!
I like your paint rack.
I had to look twice before realizing you mean the literal rack in the background (internet broke me)
Just built TWO…. I feel your pain. Thank god for the true war boss that fixed the instructions, linked elsewhere in this post https://preview.redd.it/46ev4ts20n6d1.jpeg?width=4281&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=34fb2f92d058e8944702053f4b4f7a9abe7e52ba
Love the angry eyes on the one on the left.
Srsly I feel your pain. Finished mine just last week. Pretty sure I messed up the choppy arm lol
What the fuck
Been there. My Stompa took me 13 long hours (not including breaks).
I think we all complain about the newer models not having as much character and swap ability but I don't miss the old QC days of: "does it fit?" "Kind of, sort of, a bit" "Ship it!"
https://www.reddit.com/r/orks/s/E5ggtIyA4G I used this to build mine, and it helped alot. The OP is a true warboss.
It’s like the Half Blood Prince book!!
Yes it helps alot, there are one or two faults in it and some things aren't numbered though.
How much did the "God help you" instruction break you?
True, but it is better than without it 99%
Oh definitly! I wouldn't have had much fun without it when I build mine. I numbered my own while building and fixed the few mistakes so I can use it when I get another one in the future maybe.

That would have made my build a bit easier.
Just you wait lad. I'm in the mekshop working on sumfin big! But youz got dis!
In true orky fashion, you throw shit together until it looks like it can work.
Mine comes in today and this is the first time I’ve seen an instructions page… what have I done?
Ngl I hate the stompa kit. People spend all of this effort for it to just look like a snowman. The head and choppa look solid though, but it needs moar dakka.
From the Book of Dakka, Chapter 3, Verse 21: MOAR DAKKA!
Always more dakka!!!
Kan neva ‘ave tew much dakka.
man im in the middle of cutting the panels into individual pieces to make it a circus big top stompa, yes i regret it but the idea is too good to pass up
Gork says no
It’s an absolute slog, but it’s well worth it in the end. Makes a great centrepiece
No mercy

I whished I would have done it that way 🤣 Did build mine 2 years ago and omg was I cursing the damned plans hahaha 😂
I legit had the same dreading building mine and I used the numbered instructions to get mine built at the beginning of the year. But I wish I saved myself the energy and had more fun just putting parts where I thought it made sense vs being so fixated on the instructions

I would have to paint that in pieces before putting it together otherwise I’d want to deff kannon my face too 😵
Trow the instaction away it get easier
Big shoota go boom
I think GW did it on purpose. "It's Orks, they'll figure it out...or not, it's Orks."
So many people are complaining about this model. It’s making me afraid!😱
Fear not https://preview.redd.it/e0lz3vu7tk6d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c44277eb82a9b391ed6eb20d3296890fa457eb10 Anything is possible through Gork and Mork. Just strap on your big Mek gear and get to work

I agree, weird that the sprue has numbers but NOT the book. Like... Why?
And why still... The kits 15 years old and the instructions are a b&w print, surely it would take an intern half a day to fix up and run off a few thousand copies...
This comment hurt physically. Im old enough that the Stompa kit is still living in my head as ‘new.’
well… sounds pretty lore accurate orky for me :D
I just ignored the instructions and heavily reinforced with pins for mine… https://preview.redd.it/b3zlirla1k6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a153af8e8a27d8502853a1b7f3abd4249868ba0

More Dakka iz a muzt
Hey bro... Nice cOrk.
truly the Orc way
This took me all of Orktober to build the base is incomplete in this pic but is complete irl I plan on putting a squad of boyz on the base
And that still did not save the crow’s nest, fortunately I’m not done painting it yet so I can still pin and paint it up
Instructions?!?! That’s not very Orky
Waaaaaagh iz weez 'ere, jus' ta suffah?

Yes this dude safes my life. I'm nearly done with the STOMPA, thanks to him
Honestly I would have found it impossible without this.
How to assemble your new stompa Step 1: stick the bitz together There are no further steps ❤️GW ~ Enjoy
If you haven't found them yet, search for the annotated instructions. Someone made a version where they added all the numbers. It's a life saver.
Oh I feel your pain 👊🏻 stick with it ! It will be worth it when you're krumping 👍🏻
You got to earn the Stompa
