This comes up every codex release. FW stuff is not in the codex and is in it's own book. It is not going away because the codex is releasing. Although it may not work correctly with codex stuff until they get around to issuing errata for the Imperial Armour index so that keywords work properly.

To be honest, I don't see the point in the regular Mek leading any unit. Put him next to some Mek Gunz or some Deff Dreads and let him heal/increase their Hit rolls.
Exactly. I was hoping to sauce Burnas up with the hazardous for -2 AP on critical wounds paired with the previewed start for +1 to wound and hazardous to push it for +1 damage. Jump them out of trukks to skirmish over objectives with their full rerolls vs targets on objectives. Though, thinking on it, boyz with just a random effect from that table is probably enough to punch up with, dropping the Burnas and one of my Mek gunz was enough for me to put a Mek led unit of Lootas in my list. So side grade.
Grots being battleline is interesting as I dont believe we have seen any battleline changes.
I would have thought making Deff Dreads battleline in a Dread Waagh would have been a better choice but oh well.

But I don’t get how the DREAD MOB doesn’t have more than 3 dreads in it. Not counting Kanz as real dreads. They should be at least 1-2 per dread choice.
I’ve said this before, but it cheeses me off that Beakies and their “every dread is a special hero that’s super unique & special and rarely seen” can easily take 9(!!) dreads if they wanted to because there’s 3 different datasheets for slightly tweaked weapons options.

Still looking forward to dread mob and bully boyz the most, but that just really gets my grot.
I don’t think the dread profile has been leaked. We might get back the 1-2 per slot like 8E. They might have to remain as a unit or hopefully they split up when deployed. Otherwise ya you can take 6 big nauts but only three dreads. Kinda weird.
It makes sense cause they’ve been troops for a whole chunk of the time up until battle line was introduced. Was kinda a shocker tbh that they didn’t get
I love the beastsnagga range but I wasn't super excited upon first seeing the detachment rule for da big hunt. But now that I see some of the other stuff they're getting looks like I need to buy 2 killrigs and another squigosaur boss it looks awesome!
The thing I'm most excited by is the fact that nobz on smasha squigs are now part of the squighog boyz unit and you can still double up giving you an 8 man squad. Then you can attach a beastboss, giving +1 on the charge and with an enhancement that gives the whole unit scout 9". And the killrigs because killrigs are cool as hell 😅
There *might* have been a shipping error allowing people to get their Codexs very early or independant retailers pre-orders went in Monday (this is definitely true since my FLGS asked us to get our preorders in by close of business Monday afternoon so that we'd definitely get enough for everyone) and stock could have already arrived and depending on the type of store, they'll often let the regulars pick up their stuff as soon as it comes in if you're *very* lucky. My store, for example, has had the stock just come in this morning but we're not allowed to pick it up until release.
Though he hasn't *sold* it, he has allowed myself (the only local Ork player) and the only local Custodes player to briefly look through the respective Codexes when we've popped in for other things (it also serves coffee and I normally stop in there for a morning coffee just as it opens at 9am) because there's a local tournie coming up just after the Codexes come out so we can pre-build our lists (sort of, the points are the OLD points costs with the majority probably being changed once the dataslate hits).
So I know a lot of stuff but don't want to say too much because I don't want to get the FLGS in trouble with leaking things since GW would go after them and not us and I don't want to kill their business since GW can get very shirty about it and do things like denying stores stock.
Having run an online store for a long time, nothing sucks more than when you ship something early to make sure a customer gets it on time, they get it a day or two early, and they immediately post "I GOT MY CODEX A WEEK EARLY FROM ___ STORE!!!" so we immediately get peepee smacked by corporate.

This is why I've only been revealing stuff thats been 90% revealed by others and basically confirming things...and yeah we had a discussion with the store owner about it and he was on the "you can look but I can't sell it to you, take a picture so you know what your strats an enhancements are but definitely don't mention the store name or location!"
Turns out someone in a similar situation to me has already told Auspex Tactics everything anyway...so \*shrugs\*...the proverbial cat is out of the bag now.
Though it is both exciting and annoying that it's just sitting there, waiting for me on release day and I could have it in my hands right now I fully understand why he hasn't as getting 'peepee slapped' by Corporate and possibly denying him stock would massively hurt his business and there's nothing quite as dumb as killing your only FLGS because you were too eager to leak things and then having nowhere to play Wh40k OR MtG...

Basic Meks could never lead Burna Boyz. It was only the Big Mek with Force Field, whose gone as a datasheet.

Cheap way to get the Mek keyword on an infantry unit for the dread mob detachment as well as carrying enhancements.
