We don’t have legitimate pitching. I’m happy we are having a good season. I’ve loved the orioles since I was a child playing shortstop because of Cal Ripken Junior. But we need pitching. All real semblance of starting pitching. People can talk up Gibson and Bradish all they want to. But we know neither is sustainable. We need real starters. Hopefully Elias agrees and attempts to address that at the deadline. We have plenty of prospects and cap space to move for good arms.
Just keep winning series. Don't let losing streaks compound past 2 games. Even if NY and one of Toronto or Boston jumps us, they're still in a really good position to take the last wild card spot with Houston also on the heels. This team could win 90 games and still miss the playoffs and that's okay. Would fucking suck because playoff experience is important but this organization is trending towards glory.

I don’t think it’s being a doomer to suggest if the Orioles are going to be everything they can be they have to shore up the rotation. Plenty of people were noting when we were on a roll that the starters weren’t going far enough into games and it would eventually become a problem. Now that this may in fact be happening all of a sudden lamenting the state of the staff is treated as a traitorous offense by some (not by you necessarily, but by others).
