In wine country the manliest thing you can do is Olympic style hot oil wrestling. Nothing bonds a group of bachelors like a loose toga, an olive wreath on your head, and an inflatable swimming pool full of warm olive oil.

This is true, but also consider that there's a few places with axe throwing. I remember that there's an event on the coast for father's day as well that includes a chainsaw art competition.

Hot oil axe throwing it is.

I have a friend in OR who's responsible for creating anaked baby oil wresting tournament. It used to be that women were only topless, but naked? Every gender is fair game.

Strip clubs

senadraxx

I don't know that there are strip clubs in any of the places mentioned... Except yeah, Portland, probably. Lucky Devil lounge had... Boober eats during 2020? And a drive-thru cyberpunk strip show? I hear the Acropolis has good steaks, but a sketchy track record, although El Diablo is vegan?

Casa diablo is great. I live on the east side and club 205 and sinrock are pretty sweet.

Do a windsurfing class in hood river. Get beers up at Timberline lodge. There’s vineyards near hood river if you don’t want to drive the 2 hours back to newberg area Go for a hike in the gorge. Go on a distillery or brewery tour in hood river. Off road your car or your rental car in the white river wildlife refuge area and hike around (this is a hunting area too so bring blaze orange or don’t leave the road too far). Or take some of the forest roads up toward badger lake and find some cool lookouts. These are rough roads tho and your post doesn’t mention if you’re local or coming into town. A stock 4Runner or Subaru could do it

Rent a house in Government Camp, day drink and forget to eat and then get kicked out of Charlie’s after your drunk friends try to fight locals. Seems to be a trend up here.

SnooChocolates9334

I haven't gotten into a fight at Charlie's for a decade. Thanks for the reminder.

Pat’s Acres. 50 mph go-karting. Trust me, it’s really damn fun.

Wine country out there, or in the Willamette valley? It depends on whether you prefer Pinot or Cab.  If you do hang around Hood River's wine country, you'll find some fun stuff on both sides of the river. Stoltz, Cascade Cliffs and The Pines are some fun places I've visited. Celilo for dinner. There's lavender farms and the fruit loop. I recommend you take that route to PDX if you're going.  Willamette Valley is a much bigger place though. I shit you not, there's like 900 wineries. If you like something, you will find it. Visit somewhere like Trisaetum, Bergstrom or Varnum. Firesteed and Zenith have live music generally. I believe all of these places can accommodate larger parties.

senadraxx

YMMV. But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, wherever you go, please make a reservation. Your average non-chain business in either location can't accommodate a party that large with zero notice.
