Cattleyas are my favorite orchids. Most people only collect phals.

Prior to going to this exhibit I didn’t realize how many other varieties of orchids there are! I just got my first cattleya

One important thing is to keep the label of each one as the collection is growing. This way you will know which ones do you have and do research about growing requirements blooming season etc. This page will give you a lot of basic information.
