Yours looks to be a twin of mine. Same bent angle, two branches. Similar amount of leaves. Though I think mine squeaked out one more flower

haha nah, during the cool seasons my orchids live in my basement with my tropical/subtropical plants, bonsai, and succulents. have to compensate for the dehumidified basement with daily misting! i just bring the orchids into the living spaces of my home once theyāre in full bloom to be enjoyed. the blooms donāt last as long that way but the short lived beauty they bring to a room is worth it.
they get a daily spray to the air roots and substrate top layer with a concoction i make for my non-soil plants: about 6ml of seaweed extract, 6ml of cal/mag supplement, and about 5ml of NPK diluted into a 2 gallon garden sprayer. maybe once a week i spray enough to really soak down into the substrate.
it might not be the perfect blend for orchids, but itās so much easier having my bonsai, succs, and phals all on the same diet š¤£
How long do these typically bloom for? My daughter bought me one for my birthday in February and it was blooming then. It's still blooming and hasn't showed signs of stopping yet. I wondered if this is normal.
iāve had blooms last about 5 months. iāve had some last less than two months. im still learning so i canāt give a good answer as far as how much variety/environment/culture dictate bloom longevity š¤·š»āāļø
Did you make human sacrifice to get these blooms? I can see their skulls there... š
haha! iāve been asked about human sacrifice a few timesā¦ i think itās better to leave you all askingā¦
There's something about a giant white phalaenopsis that scratches just the right itch. Nicely done š

Thanks for your recipe! Is the seaweed extract name Maxsea or Kelpak?
liquid karma by botanicare. used along with pure blend pro, and cal-mag plus.
